I thought I'd seen all of Gary Larson's cartoons but somehow this one got overlooked.  Love his offbeat sense of humor!

I belong to a far side group on Facebook and someone recently posted this cartoon. I never thought about sharing it here.

Isn't it the case that Larson has pulled EVERYTHING out of the market upon retirement? Books out of print, no merch anymore [I write this while drinking from a Larson cup, with the print fading more and more every year]. It also seems quite hard to find specific panels online, which implies that he is having his stuff policed quite rigidly.

Fortunately, that's not the case.  The "Far Side" has an Official Website where a daily cartoon from the archives is published, and you can shop for various items.  (I didn't check to see if you can replace your fading cup!).  https://www.thefarside.com/

There's even a new calendar coming out for 2023!  It looks like the 2023 calendar is full of his old cartoons.  Click on "New Stuff."  Larson has fallen in love with digital art drawing and is now drawing again, only this time digitally.
