I always thought sumo meant "bumping into one another".  Now, I know it actually means "thrashing annoying people'.

Admittedly, some wrestlers might view Midorifuji with his pesky katasukashi as somewhat of a "pest".

Interesting that today after the Meisei-Takarafuji bout we have either the gyoji or the commentator doing a startling impression of Kintamayama singing the "Hapless" song.

Indeed.  Makes sense that the quickie version skipped the Juryo highlight bout.  I was distracted by Kinta-sama's wicked sense of humour.

Hawaiian Blue?

Apparently the term is due to a cocktail, invented by a Hawaiian bartender to promote a brand of curacao liqueur that had that bright blue color.  The drink is known as a "Blue Hawaii" and was later an Elvis Presley film title.
