It will be the first jungyo since November 2019. No dates or venues announced yet. So after 3 years we'll have a proper jungyo thread again. Tachikawa has the same Shodai and Mitakeumi Only Koga has something different and they have sold out https://anfini.co.jp/hoiku/topics/2022531_sumokoga.html Tatsunami is the responsible for that jungyo and was at the press conference end of May 2
Kintamayama Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 More rikishi, gyoji and tokoyama have been found positive to the virus, announced Shibatayama Oyakata today. "There are even small heyas where everyone was found positive. Still, we are not talking about postponing or canceling at this stage. Leo C Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 Not only in sumo, but in general Japan isn't closing anything down (so far) due to the latest surge. Trips are scheduled to happen as usual, no mention of even the half-assed state of emergency (manbo or whatever it was called), etc.

rhyen Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 If they government delegates to the prefectural government themselves, instead of asking them to bureacratically asking the central government for emergency declaration powers. A lot of the jungyo activities can be limited by the governors.
