The first ticket lottery for the Hatsu basho is under way, applications can be made till the 25th 11h JST. This time it is only for the paying members of the official ozumo fan club https://fanclub.sumo.or.jp/

You can register for free for the juryo course, which allows you to use the site's shop, to get tickets in the first group, you have to have at least the sekiwake course, for the 2nd lottery from the 27th till Dec. 2nd the makuuchi course. The general advance ticket lottery is from Dec 3rd. till the 6th, general ticket sales start on the 11th, 10h JST.

You pay at 7/11 convenience stores and get the tickets there, tamari-seki, box seats and 1 person masu seats are only available this way now. Middle school students and kids below that age are forbidden to use the tamari seats.

The Hatsu poster is out, and it's a pretty interesting composition: Terunofuji, this basho's sanyaku, and a smattering of other maegashira including popular Ura and Endo. 

Feels somewhat Warhol-like to me, without the funky colours.

The artistic composition point are the mummy knees 2 in the midle on top and below, connected in 」shape by the dark mawashi 3 with the bandaged left knee.

I see they've gone with the Ground-type gym, per usual. It won't give either Terunofuji (fighting type) or Pikachu (electric type) an advantage due to terrain, so it's a respectable choice. Kind of cool that the last pic previews the Ryōgoku Kokugikan Gym badge.
