Outstanding performance by Ikioi.  The song sounds familiar.  Does anyone know if this is originally a Japanese song or is it an English-language song that has been translated into Japanese?

Enka. Chiyoshouma sang henka on this show later.

Another wonderful performance by Takayasu.  The people jabbering non-stop at the beginning pretty much quieted down by the end.

Takayasu singing his father's favorite song, "Blue Chateau", at Tagonoura Beya's first Senshuraku party.  The video was filmed and uploaded by Takayasu's mother, Bebe Lita, his biggest supporter.

Harumafuji loved to sing and here's a good example of his talent.  This took place on Oct 23, 2012, right after he was promoted to Yokozuna (Sept 2012).

Nice performance by Kakuryu.  A this same party, there used to be a video of a tipsy Takakeisho singing with a strange grin on his face.  I think that video has been taken down.  Here is Kakuryu.

Here's Kakuryu singing again at a different party.  His voice is so smooth.

CRINGE ALERT!!!!  This performance brought tears to my eyes, but for all the wrong reasons!  I don't recognize him so I think he might be a lower-ranked rikishi.  My stomach is in knots!

THIS IS WORSE THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE!!!!  OMG!  Someone please slap him until he stops trying to sing.  I don't recognize him, either.

An absolutely STUNNING Jinku performance by one man at a Japanese wedding reception.  He started out explaining what Jinku is  and then sang it alone to the guests.  He has an amazing voice & you could tell that the bride was touched by the performance.  The man was bald but was wearing formal sumo clothing so I imagine he was a retired rikishi.  Does anyone know who he is?

Another great performance by Kotoyuki.  His soft voice is higher pitched than I expected but still nice to listen to.

A lot of singing and dancing rikishi during a wedding reception.  I don't recognize any of them but the video quality is poor and they are shot from a distance.  The first one on stage has very long sideburns like you see rikishi wear in the past, so I don't know how long ago this was actually videotaped.  The bride and groom show up later on stage and everyone dances up a storm.

The 2016 NHK Charity Show videotaped off of TV.  It features Mitakeumi singing and hamming it up.  The first song is pretty tuneless but his last song is okay.  Next up is poor Chiyootori who sings pretty badly and knows it.  Then Takayasu singing a love ballad.  Very nice!  After that, ex-Toyonoshima who is now an Oyakata and he loves to sing.  Then, a singing sumo official (? Oyakata or Shimpan?) appears & sings somewhat tentatively.  (He shouldn't quit his day job!).  Last, it's back to Mitakeumi whose last song is not bad, but he  should focus on his sumo!

This is the second part of 2 videos from the same New Year's celebration that were uploaded onto Youtube.  I posted the first one earlier.  In this one, Ikioi is singing Jinku.  (He is NOT singing Enka songs!).  It's amazing to see so many familiar faces that are either gone or have moved on to become Oyakata.

At the end of part 2 of a 2-part Mongolian documentary about Hakuho, Hakuho sings a traditional Mongolian folk song.  I hate to use the word "bleating" but that's what it reminded me of!  See 37:00 on this video.  Keep listening to the end of the video.

Hilarious song!!!!  No rikishi are singing.  It's the opposite, but I had to include it.  The song is about rikishi.  The singer crams in as many names and photos of rikishis from all ranks as he can.  A very catchy tune!  I like how he included rikishi from the lower ranks.  They usually don't get a lot of attention.
