Unfortunately the time has already come to say goodbye, since I was asked by an admin to change my username and I will not comply.

I'm sorry to see you go, especially so soon!  Is there any room for compromise, like calling yourself HakuhoFan or Hakuhoyama or another name that incorporates Hakuho but with something added so there's no confusion between you and the real Hakuho?

I thought the name was brilliant. Honestly, I thought someone had already used the name before now. I can't see the real Hakuho ever becoming a member of the forum.

I, too, liked the name.  However, it was a little jarring to me to see "Hakuho reacted to this". Haha!  I did have to remind myself a couple of times that the real Hakuho was NOT A MEMBER OF SUMO FORUM!!!!

It would be awesome if the real Hakuho was a forum member. But I believe if he did join the forum, he would do so incognito.

I greatly doubt it was your intent, but using Hakuho as a forum name and a photo of Hakuho as an avatar could give the impression of "posing as a real rikishi", which is clearly against the Forum guidelines.

Are you sure you couldn't live with 'H4kuho' or 'Hakuh0', or something like that?

Why deny yourself the pleasure of being part of this community?

Yeah, I think I didn't act rationally as I was surprised of the fact that I had to change my name because I never thought anyone could think the actual Hakuho would be a member of this forum. But I understand the name change request now. 

Thought about it a bit more and decided to rename myself to Hakuryuho (waiting for admin to change it), an unclever way to combine the names of my two favourite rikishi Hakuho and Kakuryu (I hope it doesn't mean anything indecent in Japanese :p), my way of trying to keep something of my old name and at the same time honouring my favourite two rikishi :)

I can't and won't give up this nice and welcoming forum so easily! :)
