He was in close contact at his danpatsushiki and Tochiouzan's as well, with a lot of people and rikishi. "Doing sumo with them doesn't mean he was in close contact with them.. If he was without a mask in the shitakubeya and talked to people, well, we'll have to investigate that, " said Shibatayama. All those who came in contact with him will undergo PCR and antigen tests. 2 matches between Mitakeumi & Terunofuji, including one long tsuridashi from the middle of the dohyo(from 12 o clock, marched to 7 o clock and out; god knows how many seconds they were grappling beforehand). Imagine how many breathes he took to do that last one. With Mitakeumi exhaling into his face. Edited January 31, 2022 by rhyen 1
Akinomaki Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 (edited) Shibatayama about Mitakeumi tested positive for Corona: "We have to hold it back here, events have to be performed". On the 5th there is Yoshikaze's danpatsushiki in the kokugikan and the next day the FujiTV tournament. http://www.nikkei.com/article/DGXZQOKC31B1D0R30C22A1000000/ I guess he caught it at his ozeki promotion party, quite a number of people to investigate there Edited January 31, 2022 by Akinomaki 1

On the other hand, if it was Michinoku, they could have just said so, and it's also implied that the rikishi from Michinoku and the gyoji's heya are treated separately, so it's probably not Michinoku). It's definitely a different heya, since Michinoku has no gyoji. 1

Yaochozuna Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Oh man, you really have to feel for Tsurugishou. 6-9 at M16W, a break-in, and now covid 2 1
rhyen Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Might might become one of the worst superspreader event(s). One does have to credit the kyokai for acting fast when the news broke. I just wish that they would screen everyone in the whole kyokai. poor Nakamura oyakata & Tateyama oyakata (although maybe it was good not to have hana-zumo?)

I'd heard that the NSK had a blanket vaxxing some months ago. 2 shots for each?
