Mogami Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Hey guys. I wonder, if it ever happend, that a Rikkishi made it to Ozeki twice. And not just demoted to Sekiwake and then got back with a 10-5 or bette, like the famous Tochiazuma did twice. But someone who managed to get the 33 (or so) wins "Again" ?

Kaiketsu is your man. He reached Ozeki twice in the 1970s. 3
RabidJohn Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 The 33 (or so) wins isn't necessarily enough. Miyabiyama was demoted from ozeki in 2000, then in 2006 he had a run of 10-5, 14-1-d and 10-5 (=34), followed by a 9-6 (=33), but did not get re-promoted. 4 1
