Rocks Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 (edited) Not a bad night for me but Aoiyama getting called for the hair pull cost me a 14, but not the win thankfully, in Bench, my Odd bet, ISP and 3 points in DST. Edited January 16, 2019 by Rocks
Pandaazuma Posted January 16, 2019 Author Posted January 16, 2019 Will post the Oracle standings on odd-numbered days. Briefly, as of day 4, Gansekiiwa and Bakanonou are leading by 3 points ahead of Panda, DeRosa and Haidouzo.
Pandaazuma Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 Things are beginning to take shape in Oracle. Leader: Bakanonou Pandaazuma, Haidouzo, DeRosa -2 Gansekiiwa -4 Unkonoyama, ScreechingOwl -10 Gurowake, Andonishiki -13 Kobasho, Kotononami -14 Choshu-Yuki -15 Asapedroryu -16 Chishafuwaku -18 Torafuji -20 Norizo -22
Atenzan Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Well watching Moti's video I thought I had a good day at the games, as it turns out so did everyone else. Could you please be less good next time I'm good so that I can feel better about myself? Thanks. P. S. Only 3 of you lost in Chaingang today. Now that's the kind of thing I'm referring to. Make an effort. 1

Not that I am happy to be out of CG and but it is still interesting to watch. Who is going to blink first? Riding the bandwagon is keeping people in, but too many. It's going to take some off picks to win this one I think because it looks likes it headed for tiebreakers. Still, I'd ride the wagons for a while yet.
Rocks Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 First the hairpull now he loses to Chiyotairyu of all people. Aoiyama is killing me.
Pandaazuma Posted January 19, 2019 Author Posted January 19, 2019 Oracle Day 7: Leader: Bakanonou Haidouzo -4 Pandaazuma, DeRosa -7 Gurowake -11 Gansekiiwa, Kotononami -13 Unkonoyama -14 ScreechingOwl -15 Choshu-Yuki -16 Kobashi, Asapedroryu -17 Andonishiki -19 Chishafuwaku -20 Torafuji -23 Norizo -29 The big story here is the extent of Yokozuna Norizo's slaughter! Never seen anything like this in this game before. Bakanonou looks a fairly likely winner with that prediction of 1 for Kisenosato along with some decent predictions all round. Scott is playing a blinder! Can he see it out? Gurowake has come back into proceedings well. He's a strong player so no surprises there. I expect Choshu-Yuki and Norizo to improve in the second week as well.
Pandaazuma Posted January 21, 2019 Author Posted January 21, 2019 Oracle Day 9: Bakanonou's prediction of 1 for Kisenosato looks to be carrying him to a yusho. Leader: Bakanonou Pandaazuma -7 Haidouzo -8 Kotononami -9 Gansekiiwa, DeRosa, Andonishiki -13 Gurowake -14 ScreechingOwl, Ukonoyama -15 Chishafuwaku -16 Torafuji -19 Choshu-Yuki -20 Asapedroryu -21 Kobashi -22 Norizo -23
Asashosakari Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Anybody with all of Daieisho, Abi and Tomokaze still available in Quad?

Yup, should I add insult to injury and pick Wakatakakage with them or use it as a burner and pick Daiamami? I burned Daiamami. These 3 will make 8 Fusen wins this basho so I don't think I will be getting the Shuken-So in Quad. Edited January 23, 2019 by Rocks

But doesn't it help the tiebreaker to get rid of your lowest winning guy? Not that I am going to need a tiebreaker mind you. Edited January 23, 2019 by Rocks

I don't expect Bakanonou, Gansekiiwa or Kotononami within the top 10. Better keep an eye on returnee Golynohana...

And don't forget that the three you mentioned all bid low on Kisenosato, giving them big bonuses. I track them from the start and only have time for a limited number...and this basho I tracked anyone who predicted five or less for Kisenosato as well as the usual suspects. If anyone looks to be coming through like Golynohana, I'll add them to the tracking...and will remove obvious stragglers from day 13 onwards. Edit: Just had a glance at Golynohana and he is currently projected as 3 points behind me. So he is in with a good chance. Edited January 23, 2019 by Pandaazuma

Any kyujo or Intai Rikishi will have no further influence on the current standings. Predicting too low numbers for e.g. for Endo, Kaisei, Ishiura, Toyonoshima or Chiyomaru will. Ganzohnesushi That's not how my projections work...and the standings as they are on the site are pretty much meaningless.
Jakusotsu Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Would not have expected a double-kinboshi in TTT on a day like this.

Incidentally, if I didn't miss one today was the 6th time in TTT history that a no-risk win was possible. (Also 2012.11.09, 2013.07.06, 2015.11.14, 2018.03.12 and 2018.07.06.) 1
