Well I am in everything. I don't know how I'll do. Hopefully better than I did in GTB. At least the Yokozuna and Komusubi picks were easy. I missed 21 deadline again. I never heard anything back on Bench Sumo so I guess I'm out of that too. Maybe January.

Good luck everybody!  (Singingdrunk...)

My entry on Paper Oyakata didn't show up. It turned out that I failed to push the second confirm entry button and would explain why I've had two absences in that game...(Clown...)

I had to go kyujo in all the 21 games I play. I try not to do so, but my job takes me all over. Last Tuesday I came home at midnight from nearly 3 weeks in SE Asia. I picked up an infection there, am swamped with make-up work at the office, have jet lag, and have a wife “advising”me to take the basho off.  Honestly, I don’t know how I could have entered all 21 in time to beat the deadlines anyway. These are supposed to be games, not work. They are slowly approaching crossing that line and when that day comes that it is all work and no fun, I will walk away.

LOL. I am dead last! But it has always been an ambition of mine to win a yusho after being dead last on day one! ;)

I actually came this thread to congratulate new addition to Mukade Beya, @Unkonoyama : What a brilliant performance in Toto and Odd Sumo!

Wow, what a disaster of a night. I didn't just lose in everything, it wasn't even close.

On top of that my entry for Paper didn't go through so I am out of that completely.

I overthought Chain. I had Meisei, but decided to switch to Tsurugisho due to some complex and erroneous mental thinking.

I went with Tsurugisho too. It was a good pick. Kyokutaisei is looking really bad. Can barely stand on his right leg.  Tsurugisho blew it and fell down basically.

Better don't look whom Tsunamiko advanced with. B-)

If the trend continues Kyushu'18 will become my worst ever Basho in 13 years of gaming. Can't remember I ever had such disastrous results after 2 days. The Horror.

Good you start whining after day 2.... So you can beat it by starting after day 1 someday.... :-P

Wrong interpretation, Gernot. This is not whining, these are simply the pure facts.

But for your enjoyment I might one Day start whining already before Shonichi...  (Laughing...)

Pure luck and I can't say I'm really happy with this win.

Ganzohnesushi

Would you be happy with the loss?

Of course a loss wouldn't have made me happy either. The fact of picking just 4 winners correct doesn't make me happy. With only 11 correct picks after three days my average points rate is a mere 3.67 currently. Horrible!

2 straight days of one below the line in Toto. Has this happened before? What the feck??

And a lovely 9-9 loss in SG too. As Gandolfini always asked...what you gonna do?

I gotta say, strange pick of Tochiozan-Takayasu match for ISP and DST. Everybody except 2 so far has picked Takayasu, most at 4 or 5 too, in DST and I think you are going to have similar lopsided numbers for ISP.

I think it might be because of their history, which tilts heavily in Tochiozan's favor.  Unfortunately, that sort of history fails to recognize that all those years they fought when Tochiozan was clearly the better wrestler, he built up a large lead in the series.  Now that Takayasu is clearly better, he's had far more success.  Perhaps Tochiozan has some innate advantage in this matchup, but it's not nearly as lopsided looking as the totals of the previous matches make it look.

They're also both 4-0.  And a 4-0 M2e is pretty damn rare.

Doitsuyama changed the Sent-From field on the confirmation emails that his system sends out for the daily games.  They had been filtered out of my main email box and apparently part of the filter was what email address they said they were from.  I have to figure out how to change the filters now and I set them up years ago.
