Akinomaki Posted August 2, 2023 Author Posted August 2, 2023 (edited) A feature about the sumo club of Tokyo Metropolitan Adachi Shinden High School and a feature about Yoshiki Fuse's club at Ono agricultural high school in Hokuto, Hokkaido o On 10/03/2023 at 20:05, Akinomaki said: The club has only three 1st years as members at the moment, and only one, Hirakawa has previous sumo experience - only he had one win in the preliminaries at the interhigh last year. Preparations for this year are under way - the club has a history of more than 80 years, with 2 time runner-up results at the interhigh. The last national interhigh taking place in Hokkaido was 36 years ago. The club is one of 4 sumo clubs at high schools in Hokkaido, the others are Hokkaido Sakae, Otaru Fisheries and Hakodate Fisheries high school, at which the 3 boys who made the countdown board are in the model construction club. Only the top 2 clubs can go to the interhigh, and the top 5 for the individual competitions, weight class etc. - the Hokkaido interhigh to decide that is in June in the same city. Ex-member Yoshiki Fuse is the advisor of the club since last spring Edited August 3, 2023 by Akinomaki 3

Takekaze since 2014 is PR ambassador of the village, the head of the sumo club OB association, who scouted him for his high school when he was in middle school school, was a newcomer there and that is the start of the connection, now he came at last with a training camp, as oyakata. They stay at the Ogata shrine, asageiko at the local sumo ground open to watch from 9h-11h. On the first day 100-160 fans were there. First time a heya held a training camp in the village. Visible in the report - he was treated more like a heya member and not like just one of the kids who came there and Akita broadcast had again a report about him, now 1st year middle school at Ujo middle school in Katagami, Akita. Already bigger than the oyakata - 173cm, 125kg http://www.akita-abs.co.jp/nnn/news93qi1pg4mntzkqqrac.html He has the chance to become the last zenchu winner middle school yokozuna - his first try for a ticket to the zenchu in August is this month. The rikishi congratulated him to the yusho - he had stayed at the heya before the Hakuho cup, likely again before the zenchu, if he wins at the prefecture preliminaries on the 13th Edited July 4, 2024 by Akinomaki 2
