England lost in the extra time, so Jejima's chain is broken before he could reach Slot #5. "But who cares?" - asks Jejima. Double joy in the family, because Fujiko had an incredible luck! Her chain was about breaking, but still before it happened, Tanetakahiro's did. Congratulations to the winners. Fujiko, we'll meet in the Saucer Final.

If Jakusotsu had used (C) on any other but 1st half, he was gonna be the Winner. The Droning in fact was advantageous for Kuroelwin, as the winning half for England was the 1st one, where he scored a goal. The placement of (C) at Slot #2 and being the losing half, Jakusotsu's chain was broken their, leaving his 3 winners unutilized. What a Bad Luck! Anything to bring Andonishiki back into the game.

If the team reaches the finals, it scores the equivalent of two penalties. If it loses in the semi-finals, it is just one penalty. The sudden-death element of the penalty shoot-out starts from the fourth selection onward. Furanohana first.... It's France! That's trhe equivalent of two penalties being converted! Achiyama responds with... Brazil! A big miss. Furanohana OO Achiyama X? Furanohana next goes with..... Croatia! Oh... We will have to wait another 20 hours or so to see if that one goes in or not! The game is not over! Stay tuned. Let's continue.... Croatia - looks like it is going wide, but it swerves back in - twice! Furanohana OOOO Achiyama X? Achiyama next.... England! Just the one penalty converted. Furanohana OOOO Achiyama XO and the penalty shoot-out is over, as it not possible for Achiyama to catch Furanohana on the third team before sudden death starts. I think we can all agree that that was impressive penalty taking by Furanohana's team! Final score: Furananohana 1-1, 1-1 (AET), 4-1 (PK) Achiyama Achiyama is on the plane home, whilst Furanohana progresses to the finals of the Bench Plate competition.

While I would be happy with that I thought I had lost by 1-0! Maybe I misunderstood something? Here is how I had scored the game: The Croatia-England game was a draw (1-1) after the 2nd half, so shouldn't that 2nd slot for Nantonoyama read as a draw instead of a loss, keeping the score at 0-0 but leaving both chains unbroken? Both 3rd slots are a draw for us, still 0-0, chains still unbroken. Nanotonyama then scores the 1-0 at the 4th slot (because England was ahead after the 1st half) and wins the game by that score (as my chain breaks at that slot because of my loss for Belgium after the 2nd half. Jejima Posted July 12, 2018 Author Posted July 12, 2018 BWBS2 Match 6Bozhanitakara (Australia) Bozhanitakara: 1. France [1st], 2. England (S2) [1st], 3. France [ET], 4. France [2nd], 5. France [ET] Jejima's referiojing: Maeden was leading 1-0, but Bozhanitakara responds with a goal very late on, and breaks Maeden's chain! It's 1-1. Bozhanitakara's chain is broken in the sixth link - and there can be no goals in extra time. Final score 1-1, 1-1 (AET) Time for penalties! Bozhanitakara first.... Brazil! - big miss... Bozhanitakara X Maeden ? Maeden steps up with.... Portugal! Bozhanitakara X Maeden X Boz next with... Sweden! Eeek. Bozhanitakara XX Maeden X Maeden's turn.... Croatia! It's a big double score! Bozhanitakara XX Maeden XOO Boz next - she must net at least one PK to stay in the match... . . . France! She gets two, to level the score! Bozhanitakara XXOO Maeden XOO If Maeden gets at least PK with his next team, it's all over - otherwise we are going to sudden death. Maeden steps up with . . . . . . Belgium! He gets just one PK - buit that's enough! The PK shoot-out ends Bozhanitakara XXOO Maeden XOOO So Maeden wins the PK shoot-out. Final score... Bozhanitakara 1-1, 1-1 (AET), 2-3 Maeden Bozhanitakara is on the plane home. Maeden will be playing in the finals for the Bench Bowl.

Jejima Posted July 12, 2018 Author Posted July 12, 2018 NB: There is no need for Nekonishiki to update the squads... They are the same as for the semi-finals (as there is also a very important 3rd/4th play-off match). The rules are the same as for the semi-finals - with a little difference in the rules for penalties, should they be required. I already have everybody's list of penalty takers - so no need for any more survey monkeys. Just get in your line-ups at least half-an-hour before the Belgium B team vs England B team rematch on Saturday.

So I did misunderstand... In these last 2 rounds we're scoring who wins, draws, or loses a half (or extra time) independent of what the total score of a match is after that half (or the extra time period). I thought we were scoring who would have won, drawn, or lost the match after a half (or extra time).
