Jakusotsu Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Unfortunately Haidouzo couldn't shake the kadoban tag (even with those two wins added in Makuuchi for banzuke making purposes - and three wins in Juryo and below). But although Pandaazuma failed to return the "easy" way there's replacement already: jun-yusho winner Kaiomitsuki receives the honour to become the fifth Ozeki in this game - congratulations! Yubinhaad Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Slow stats news - 8 perfect Shukun-sho scores were recorded during this basho, a new record. The previous best was 7 from 2015 Hatsu and 2016 Natsu. Three of the scores happened on Day 10 - it's only the second time that has happened, following Day 14 of the 2015 Nagoya basho. Rikishimiezi's perfect score on Day 4 was his 10th overall, making him the second player to reach double-digits. Takanorappa recorded his third perfect score after a long gap, his last one coming in 2013 Aki. 1
