Pandaazuma Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Before I begin collecting entries, I need a volunteer to update the scores for me as Rando has been doing. Rando is way too busy now to keep doing this, and I am very grateful for his efforts. I am too dumb to do this kind of stuff. Would anyone mind updating the scores after each basho? If we get a volunteer, we can run the game. Thanks in advance to the kind person! :)
Pandaazuma Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 Any takers?? It doesn't have to be updated immediately, and it is only once every two months! ;) @chishafuwaku might be up for it?? How much do I have to pay you?? ;)
Tenshinhan Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 I would like to update the standings for Metasumo if you are okay with it (I guess chisha already has very much work to do). 1 2
Tsuchinoninjin Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I can backup Tenshinhan if needs be. 1 2
Pandaazuma Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 Thanks very much for your help! I really appreciate it. :)) Later today I will introduce the game. Just at work right now.
Pandaazuma Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 OK...another problem. As I mentioned in the games talk thread, the site where the world championship standings are listed is still down (five days or so now). Does anyone know what is going on there? @Randomitsuki will definitely need to know about it as he updates the standings for the Masters etc. I think I heard once that the domain is owned by Gusoyama...maybe he's had enough of paying for it. If funds are a problem, I'd be more than happy to contribute to that.
Tsuchinoninjin Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Seems to be a dreamhost issue, they're having maintenance problems. Domain name is OK until Nov '18 2
Randomitsuki Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Thanks for notifying me about the outage of the Superbanzuke sites. We'll see what happens. Maybe we have to migrate to another place... Anyway, as a workaround I uploaded a PDF version of my original end-of-2017 Excel sheets on Google Drive. Unfortunately, it's a 150-page document that I cannot trim with my Acrobat version. The only important part are the first six or seven pages where you can see the ranks and names of all players who scored points in 2017. If I remember correctly, you have to pick one player from each of the following numerical ranks: 1-5 6-10 11-20 21-40 41-80 81-120 121-200 201-no points for a total of eight players. Please post your picks in this thread. And here is the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WaVi-ME1C3lul5UGwVFU60PdJaKl9zoF/view?usp=sharing 1

Pandaazuma Posted January 8, 2018 Author Posted January 8, 2018 1. Pandaazuma (I need all the motivation I can get) 2. Konosato (He has been brilliant recently and I expect a very strong year) 3. ScreechingOwl (Definite return to the top ten in 2018) 4. Haidouzo (Scott is also due a good year) 5. Bill (A fine player of several games and he seems to be in quite a few now so he could do well) 6. Profomisakari (Was surprised to find him at this level...must have had an unlucky 2017...should be a lot higher) 7. Kintamayama (I predict a couple of yusho at least for Moti) 8. McBugger (Promising newcomer)

Atenzan Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Excuse me, what is this game? What am I picked for? I'm honoured by the way. But unless this is some sumoforum invitational pool tournament I don't think I can perform up to scratch.
