What?  I forgot to enter my pick this morning?  I was sure that I made it before breakfast.  Grrr!

Since both runners-up failed to make a pick (Tenshinhan and Jejima), the yusho will be decided between McBugger (Endo) and Sakura (Kotoshogiku).

In my opinion McBugger won't be able to score (because Endo appears to be the most likely opponent for Tochinoshin, but who knows?), but Sakura definitely needs her pick to come through with McBugger being ahead on tie-breakers.

Final results:

chishafuwaku prevents the Kyokai from scoring on Senshuraku (and grabs the ginosho in the act), and we need to look for tie-breakers to decide the yusho. McBugger gets the nod for guessing Yoshikaze right on day 12 - omedeto!

My second yusho in three basho. I humbly accept the trophy from Jakusotsu-shimpan-bucho and Jejima-rijicho (or is it the other way round?). 

For what it's worth, this is still the game I feel the least confident about when making my picks. And apparently it's the only game I'm good at at the moment.

My best performance since my one yusho. Only this and 21 have been remotely good for me.

Comments:

Kuroimori only just managed to scrape a KK at the Yokozuna rank.  More is expected of him - and it is strongly hoped that he will have a better basho in March.
Neither Jakusotsu nor Gurowake were really challenging for the yusho.  They are also urged to do better in March.
Gernobono ended up MK this basho.  He will be kadoban in March, and will need to get at least a KK to keep his Ozeki rank.
McBugger and Sakura will both be considered for promotion to Ozeki after March with either a yusho or a good jun-yusho.

I am considering slightly changing the way that I determine the KK line (and perhaps also the OQ line.)  If I do decide to tweak it (them) a little, I will announce it in updated rules before the start of the March basho.
