That man that may or may not be the talent agent (he brings a different lady each day he's there) is there again today. He doesn't seem very interested in the sumo. He was reading something on his phone.

It's always tough watching juryo. You have all these guys who have size and ability but they just don't finish consistently.

If crowd noise is an indicator then Takayasu is a popular guy right now and Mitakeumi got a louder cheer than Endo did.

Honestly I look at that the post-bout dohyo rolling as momentum. If Hakuho had meant to do that, I don't think he would have helped Mitakeumi back onto the dohyo.

Mitakeumi was still holding on to Hakuho's belt, and pulled him down with him. Hakuho had to keep the arm on Mita's face or risk accidentally slapping him as they fell.

I will never understand how a guy like Ichinojo loses to a guy like Ura. If ichinojo just stands up straight and stays that way there's nothing Ura can do. Yet guys keep going down to his level. Unbelievable.

Dear Kotoshogiku, it's time. Thanks for the memories.

I somehow wonder if Kotoshogiku & Toyonoshima have an intai pact.

Endo runs away from the doyo to avoid Hakuho's post match brutality...;-)

I'm liking Kagayaki more and more.  Tall man sumo. Toyonoshima lost again 0-3. Looks like the end for Kotoshugiku he has had his time and his yusho. :(

If he is a talent agent I don't think those women are talentos...

I watched the Hakuho/Endo bout at least five times just trying to count the number of slaps that Hakuho laid down on poor Endo's mug.

Do you mean Bad Wig Guy on the bottom left hand side? He had one of his other daughters with him today

Ichinojo has a stuffed back, and trust me, the pain that comes from a stuffed back, I'm not surprised he loses to all and sundry

I think he is talking about the dude who looks like a walrus.

My favorite match of the day was definitely Ura vs Ichinojo. I had to repeat watching it thanks to Kintamayama's video.

Many of us disagreed with the banzuke pre-basho, but I guess Tamawashi showed us today to an extent why he's the E1 Sekiwake.

Hak and Haru taking care of business, while Kise keeps trudging along. I'm confident though that he'll finish KK, if he works it good enough I think he can even go 10-5.

Hakuho seems like a man with a different plan for each rikishi he faces. His arms-length tsuki/oshi/tsuppari/harite stuff is nowhere near as attractive as his yotsu-zumo, but it's pretty damned effective.

Bit of a shock seeing Takayasu go down to Tamawashi today... I do hope that was just a temporary aberration.

Is Shodai injured? Something seems off with him this basho.

I loved watching Ura manhandle Ichinojo off the dohyo! Ichinojo looked totally defenceless against a guy who can literally run rings around him.

Nope. The walrus guy has been around for decades. We're talking about "wig man" who turned up in the Kokugikan a several basho ago.
