Bumpkin Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 I hope Ura does rest his injured knee. He got beat up pretty badly in Nagoya. We don't want him to go the way of Terunofuji, Endo, Ichinojo and so many others. Get well soon.

There is no use in him doing anything unnecessary. The Tokyo basho is around the corner so his first priority is getting healthy for that, " explained Tamanoi deputy jungyo chairman. So it's ok for Ura to get rest and heal up, but not for a Japanese Yokozuna.

Or maybe he in turn is being pressured by the Kyokai rijis, who are in turn being pressured by the jungyo sponsors, who more than anything and regardless of anything, want to see Kisenosato around. "He has to be training while watching his condition. It's better that he heal himself at the jungyo than stay 'over there'. He'll be able to train with the sekitori, you see??" said Tagonoura. Kise himself asked about the jungyo, evading a direct answer: "After I have done sufficient training, I'll give my best." And the recovery of the left ankle: "Not nearly." He did put on the keiko mawashi and did light exercises, shiko etc., to get into sweat. http://www.sanspo.com/sports/news/20170801/sum17080105030001-n1.html not feeling super 2 7 1

As far as I know, the japanese use seasons names centered on the equinox/solstice. So Summer (Natsu) would be roughly May 5th - August 5th (so Natsu basho is in the range). And Autumn (Aki) would be roughly August 5th - November 5th (so perfect for Aki basho). So yeah, this august jungyo takes place in japanese autumn... Is there any reason I am not aware of?

Well, it starts in the period you showed as Natsu - and some names date back to times with less basho and also at different times of the year. There is no jungyo after the Natsu-basho.

What about Bar Refaeli, the model? Because she successfully avoided military service, maybe she isn't so famous after all. I heard that her decision caused a lot of resentment. If that's true, I guess she might even be called "infamous". Edited August 2, 2017 by sekitori
