Hello ;-)

Once again I find my new rank in the new Sumo game Banzuke very strange http://www.japanguide.info/sumo/banzuke.html
I don't know who create this Banzuke but It's not the first time that I'm feeling that something It's not fair.

For the last Kyushu basho, I was J1e, with a 12-3 record and the Yusho, but I only win 3 1/2 ranks
What's is wrong with me or my shikona for the Banzuke maker ???
With a 12-3 record you should be somewhere in the M10 zone or better... but M14w !!!!

M16e Ahogeyama with a 10-5 record is ranked higher than me ! I'm pretty sure that I should be ranked higher than him/her
Same case for M13e Gaijingai with a 8-7 record...  He is still higher than me !!!  (and why Gaijingai is ranked higher than Ahogeyama in the new Banzuke ???)

J3w Hidenoumi with the same 12-3 record is now just behind me in the new Banzuke !

Some Bashos ago, I remember that Asashosakari write a post where he finds something strange in the Sumo Game Banzuke (I don't find this old post !!)... and my Shikona was already involved in this problem.

If someone can make/try something... thank you in advance ;-)

(Feeling angry)

Thanks ... Merci

I once won back-to-back Makushita Yushos (in 2010) in the Sumo Game (both were 13-2), and yet found myself ranked at Makushita 33 for the next basho.....

Did you notice how everyone else is overdemoted or underpromoted?  I would have put you ahead of Ahogeyama and Susanoo, but it's certainly not wrong to have done what they did and even further disfavor someone being promoted from the next lower division.  Yes, their banzukes are a bit strange, but I don't think they do anything explicitly wrong.

Just seen this!

I know the guy who runs the game and I've discussed this kind of thing with him in the past.  He's not part of the sumo gaming community and he doesn't explicitly follow the conventions of real banzuke making.  He just does it his own way.  It's pretty damned hard to work your way up to the top as he greatly underpromotes people - as Kaiomitsuki and others have pointed out.  He also punishes losing records pretty harshly.

When I asked him about it, he just said that SG has its own rules and that's just the way it is...and he won't change his mind - trust me!  So there isn't much you can do except go for another yusho and hope there's a vacuum above you - that's the only way a big promotion can come about.

I remember the early years I spent in Makushita and believe me, I felt screwed a couple of times. Meanwhile I'm familiar with the Banzuke maker's habit and I must say that from time to time I even had some Banzuke luck. Nevertheless, in general I'm still not happy with the Banzuke maker in this game. But as Simon already mentioned, he seems to do it his own way.

I've got to say, although I am a terrible GTB player, most of my rankings were spot on. Really pretty close to reality. I guess I'm lucky in that respect. Now, I have to figure out how to win again after going 4-11, 4-11 and 7-8 and dropping to the bottom half of Juryo.
