He gets a zensho yusho and during his interview he says "F*** this for a lark. I'm going back to baseball". A baby crawls up onto the dohyo during the interview, climbs up his left leg and plants a huge smacking kiss on the end of his nose. He smiles. 3
Atenzan Posted November 12, 2016 Author Posted November 12, 2016 You're welcome to post your crapshoots, erm, predictions during the basho as well. There is no deadline for folly. 1

orandashoho Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 (edited) The basho is ready to start with injured and fit taking part. Whispers go round, wild guesses abound -- predictions are really an art. Aah... time to look at that spoof video about Goeido again. Edited November 12, 2016 by orandashoho 2
sekitori Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 (edited) Goeido promoted to yok? Some people think that's a joke. But others may feel That he's the real deal. And his hopes won't end up in smoke. Edited November 12, 2016 by sekitori 1

sekitori Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 (edited) If I did make a wild guess before the basho, I would have predicted that the "Both hands must touch the dohyo at the tachai" edict would never be enforced. And since this is day two and there has been no attempt whatsoever to do anything about it, I would have been correct. In the past, all efforts at enforcing such a rule have failed and despite warnings from the Judging committee that it would be strictly imposed at the Kyushu basho, there has been no effort to do so. Actually, such a guess would have not have been considered as being wild. Instead it would have been expected. If nothing else, I feel I should be given some credit for my hindsight. Kisenosato hits about .040 against him. Satoyama learns how to sing like a lark. 2
