Hakuho has every opportunity to be pleased with a mere 13 wins and Kise announces his intention to reach yokozuna just as international sumo fans - the very CHECK AND BALANCE against yaocho, I'll remind you! - have their bootleg streaming options cut off by a Mongolian broadcaster? It's time to put on the pink bunny slippers and yell 'CONSPIRACY' at some walls!

I am not sure at all whether the UBS Livestream from Mongolia can be labeled as a bootleg and, on another note, I find that all the yaocho conspiracy jokes/tirades/bashing are getting a bit lame lately - no offense, just my personal opinion...

If he could pull it off, I would be happy. 4 Yokozuna at once is an uncommon occurance. My First "Run" with sumo began in May 1991, when there was 4 Yokozuna.

Yokozuna Kisenosato. I like it. :-D

if Leicester wins the premiership...

if Germany can beat Italy in a major tournament...

if Mongolians introduce pay-TV for Sumo-fans...

then Kise can win a yuusho & zunahood....

maybe there's a connection:

the Mongolians are afraid of public riots,

if the 'normal' folks must watch Kise gets handed

his wins over on a silver plate...

-> therefore they introduce pay-tv

as 'richer' viewers are less likely to riot ;0)

(most abstruse of all conspiracy theories EFFA)

Kise is in trouble. We now know that UBS is not going to pay-TV.

Ozekxit.

Leave out the "k" and you've got it. "Ozexit"
The k was silent, that was the idea. Like Eddie Merckx. Edited by McBugger

Yusho first, talk latter.

Agreed. Let's not have Futahaguro happen again. And I mean his yusho count.

Unless it is a quality yusho. A 12-win yusho is actually worse than a 13-win non-yusho.

In a sumo metagame without Hakuho, I think Kisenosato would have been a yokozuna already. He's a heck of a sekitori! But, Hakuho just has that extra something... Even so, we've seen Kisenosato beat Hakuho a respectable number of times. He can do it. The only question is, "Will he?"

I look forward to finding out.

Everytime I read something like this, I want to calculate how many Yusho Kisenosato would have won if you eliminate all of Hakuho's bouts, but everytime I'm much too lazy...

Someone may have already done that work. http://www.sumoforum.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=34300

You can presumably add 2 to the total from that thread for the last two basho.
