Tamanaogijima Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Hello gamers, the UDH entry form is ready now and waiting for your selections. Rules in a (very small) nutshell: Guess the thirteen makuuchi rikishi you expect to have the fewest wins this basho. You may submit your entry at http://udh.seisa.de/udh_index.html. Once you have selected your team, please root for them as much as you can. The game was not intended to honor any failure, but to stimulate interest in the less successful rikishi. The deadline for your entries will be the first day of the basho (Sunday, July 10th) at 12pm Japanese Time. Good luck! Link to the latest available standings >>> http://udh.seisa.de/udh_stand.html

Because of the former he is an allowed pick, because of the latter half of the players get some free points every day.

So it is not fair to read the rules carefully...? 2
Pandaazuma Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Yeah, I wasn't sure about this before the basho so I had a look at the rules and it was clear that any rikishi on the day one torikumi (even a fusen loss) was valid for the basho! So I put Osuna in at 6...as did 18 others! :) 1

Pitinosato Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Well this is clearly inside the rules with Osunaa. And who takes care to read the rules, and use them, and (is able to) takes the time to change his entry, these ones deserve their points (Sign of approval...) Even I think that this is not "sumo-like", like a Henka in Bench Sumo, but who didn't do that... (Henka!!!) But one thing is always unfair - but we can't change that - And that is that not every player knows this "late news" in time to react. Depending on work, time zone, etc. But this is only a game ! So it doesn't matter. And without Osunaa in UDH (In jonokuchi...) I would see it as a big success if I would go KK :-) Peter
Pandaazuma Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 (edited) Pitinosato! Actually I think it does matter. We all want as much fairness as possible. Personally I think it would be nice if any late late late withdrawal was automatically put in everyone's 6 slot. Edited July 16, 2016 by Pandaazuma
Ganzohnesushi Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Well, I had planned Osunaarashi anyway for a 4 point slot when I became aware he will be kyujo. So all in all the advantage at putting him on the 6 point slot is rather marginal.... Ganzohnesushi
Tamanaogijima Posted July 17, 2016 Author Posted July 17, 2016 Day 5 StandingsDay 6 StandingsDay 7 StandingsDay 8 Standings Although there are lots of "bonus points" around no one could exceed 34 points on any day until today. Having Osunaarashi in your line-up may help you in this basho, but it seemingly doesn't when it comes to all-time records.

After some mainboard hoovering (the dust bunnies like to shut down my system especially when I open my UDH worksheets) I'll give you all the fancy post-basho admin stuff. 2

Kintamayama Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Kintamayama 2 regretfully announces his retirement from UDH. Dropping to Juryo is the ultimate embarrassment for him. The danpatsushiki was held at a barber shop in downtown Tel Aviv last night. 2 people were present and 4 others were past. The cut oicho is now on display at the Carmel meat market, behind the fake sunglasses stand. 1
