An unexpected gem of a matchup between two hosses in the lowest ranks today:

after seeing this, a question got to me...anyone remembers seeing a bout with 2 rematches?

There was one with 4 in makuuchi if I recall.

2 bouts from makushita, with kotokotami I think.

Wrong shikona, my man. ;-)

It's the Onosho vs. Takamisato bout (actually both video links are...)

But thanks for posting anyway!

That was so cool it is dumb, just how can someone have such fast reflexes, balance and control over their body. It came like it was the easiest thing in the world.

Would be cool if Ura gets the 11-4.

Yes, quite funny how Ura's eyes followed Asahisho's "salt rain" before he just dropped 10 grains on the clay in a very shy manner.

Wouldn't you be at risk of breaking a finger with your hands spread out like he does? Even with fingers taped together, they might get caught by fast action. This must be the reason for the taping. I wonder how many fingers get broken nevertheless...

I thought about this when I first saw Kotoyuki's "tape gloves"...

Yeah, thought that was hilarious as well. Almost like intentional comedy by Ura. He somehow leaves an impression that not only is he immensely skilled and clever on the doyho, but also very smart and intelligent outside it.
