Achiyama Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 (edited) Dear Sumo fans, sumo gamers and supporters of TUG, Here we go to the third basho for the year - NATSU 2016. I had some problems with the spreadsheet, so I did TUG Torikumi manually for Day 1 and Day 2. I created an Entry form (using the Survey Monkey website) and I'd like Everybody who declared his/her participation in TUG to try and see if it works. PLEASE, DO NOT POST YOUR PICKS ON THE SUMOFORUM!!! Deadline is Sonichi at 15:00 Japanese Standard Time, but I encourage you to try the link as soon as possible.. I'll post the Torikumi here tomorrow, I hope Gurowake will be able to help me meanwhile with the spreadsheet. HERE IS THE LINK FOR YOUR PICKS AND BACK-UP PICKS FOR DAY 1 (SONICHI): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Z6CXSBL Good luck! I'll confirm the receipt of your picks as they come. Senkoho Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 It worked fine for me, but I can't fill it in again in case I'd like to change my pick. You would have to turn on the option which allows multiple answers from one device.

Achiyama Posted May 6, 2016 Author Posted May 6, 2016 (edited) Since I had to fix a minor issue, I might as well post this given that I have it. Thanks Gurowake, But I think this is Day 2 Torikumi. Would you, please, delete it so not to confuse the Gamers. You can post the Torikumi for Sonichi (Day 1), if you have it handy. Thanks! I posted Day 1 Torikumi at the Entry link. I'll post the link for Day 2 tomorrow. Edited May 6, 2016 by Achiyama

Jejima Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Very minor point, but day 1 is usually transliterated as 'Shonichi', not 'Sonichi'.
Achiyama Posted May 7, 2016 Author Posted May 7, 2016 Very minor point, but day 1 is usually transliterated as 'Shonichi', not 'Sonichi'. Thanks Jezz, I knew it, but I did the typo repeatedly. I'll fix it when have the opportunity.
Achiyama Posted May 7, 2016 Author Posted May 7, 2016 do i get any confirmation? Not from after you submit it. But I confirm that i just got it.
Achiyama Posted May 7, 2016 Author Posted May 7, 2016 (edited) Gurowake fixed my spreadsheet promptly (thank you very much), but I couldn't post the Torikumi for Day 1. There was one error in my manual calculations for the bout of Yoshikaze. In the entry I wrote 9 points, while 6 points are right. If somebody picked Yoshikaze and he wins, I'll give 9 points as posted in the Entry form. Here is the Torikumi for Shonichi (Day 1): 17 -- Ikioi(vs. Harumafuji) 19 -- Kaisei(vs. Kakuryu) 19 -- Okinoumi(vs. Hakuho) 19 -- Myogiryu(vs. Kisenosato) 20 -- Takarafuji(vs. Goeido) 21 -- Shodai(vs. Kotoshogiku) 22 -- Ichinojo(vs. Terunofuji) 17 -- Aoiyama(vs. Kotoyuki) 6 -- Yoshikaze(vs. Aminishiki) 10 -- Takayasu(vs. Tochinoshin) 8 -- Tamawashi(vs. Tochiozan) 8 -- Osunaarashi(vs. Takanoiwa) 8 -- Mitakeumi(vs. Toyonoshima) 6 -- Daieisho(vs. Sokokurai) 6 -- Tokushoryu(vs. Sadanoumi) 6 -- Shohozan(vs. Chiyootori) 6 -- Amuru(vs. Takekaze) 6 -- Hidenoumi(vs. Daishomaru) 6 -- Seiro(vs. Nishikigi) 6 -- Endo(vs. Gagamaru) 9 -- Homarefuji(vs. Chiyotairyu) Edited May 8, 2016 by Achiyama

Gernobono Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 (edited) do i get this right? noone getsto see any picks before the bouts start including the own one confirmed?...... thats worse than picking on the forum Edited May 8, 2016 by Gernobono
Senkoho Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 (edited) thats worse than picking on the forum how? I think that everyone is aware of what their own pick is. I'll take not getting redundant confirmations over seeing everyone's picks on the forum. Edited May 8, 2016 by Senkoho 1

I'll take not getting redundant confirmations over seeing everyone's picks on the forum. but as the game-owner also plays there is plenty of space for "irregularities"......why not make it open to the public like most of the other games just before the bouts start additionally...if a wrong pick is posted for my own pick i do not have any confirmation to claim it is wrong Edited May 8, 2016 by Gernobono

Achiyama Posted May 8, 2016 Author Posted May 8, 2016 (edited) WOW! WOW! REALLY? Can you be a little bit patient? This is the first time I am testing this way of submitting the picks and you right away are throwing the dirt. What do you mean by "irregularities"? I can assure you that there is no possibility to be posted different picks than what you submitted. As I am playing the game I submit my pick first, exactly to avoid blaming me that I could manipulate the outcome. And for fairness I posted the times when the picks were submitted. If you think it's necessary I can easily post after the deadline expires and before the bouts start who picked whom. This is what I receive when you submit your pick: COMPLETE Collector: Web Link 1 (Web Link) Started: Saturday, May 07, 2016 9:27:47 AM Last Modified: Saturday, May 07, 2016 9:27:59 AM Time Spent: 00:00:11 PAGE 1: TUG Torikumi - Day 1 Q1: Your Shikona Gernobono Q2: Shonichi Picks 15 - Aoiyama (vs. Kotoyuki) Q3: Shonichi BACK-UP picks 9 - Yoshikaze (vs. Aminishiki) How can I post mistaken pick? I am speechless with your way of showing your discontent. Edited May 8, 2016 by Achiyama 3

I'll take not getting redundant confirmations over seeing everyone's picks on the forum. but as the game-owner also plays there is plenty of space for "irregularities".... This is just hideous. It probably also reveals something about yourself. I'm sure most of us wouldn't even think about this.

Gernobono Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 sorry.... you are both right....please accept my apologies for any unreasonable personal remarks but i am sumogaming for quite some time and i have seen many different ways of incidents causing troubles....and the more public all the picks are, the easier it is to sort out the results after such an incident

Jejima Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 I made an error with my original day 2 picks (I forgot to put in my shikona). I *think* all is okay now, but please let me know if not. Otherwise the entry made without a shikona around 7:20 pm (Japan time) was from Jejima....
