Predictions thread Natsu 2016

So... I thought starting a prediction thread for Natsu could be a good idea to get some discussion going.

Put all your predictions in this thread. Some examples:

Who will take the yusho?

How will Kotoyuki do in his sanyaku debut?

How will Ichinojo and Osunaarashi perform?

Any dark horses for the yusho?

Etc.

My yusho prediction is boring: Hakuho!

I think Kotoyuki will get 6 wins.

I'm pretty certain both Ichinojo and Osuna will get a KK.

Kotoyuki was 12-3 last basho as M1. I see him KK (8-7 or 9-6) against the same opponents.

Osunaarashi will go KK (8-7 or 9-6) , Ichinojo MK (5-10)

I predict Kotoyuki will henka the new restrictions upon him by wrestling with hooting Japanese women strapped to his arms, thus preventing him from physically touching the dohyo during his tachi-ai, and he will steam-roll his way to a 13-2 finish.

Hakuho loses in a playoff to Harumafuji, with both Yokozuna having a 14-1 record

None of the Ozeki will have a good record, with Goeido MK'ing and the others all under 10 wins.

I am most interested in Shodai's results. I predict either a strong 9 wins or a devastating 4 win Basho for him. I am hoping for a strong showing.

Osunaarashi gets 10 easy at that rank. Depending on which Ichinojo shows up, he will KK or have a terrible Basho at 3 to 5 wins.

Kotoyuki wins at best 5, one of which is a default. Then has a Bad Basho in the Summer and is endanger of Demotion. However, after learning how to get his hands down and not "Barking" will make a comeback to the upper ranks early next year.

Sokokurai will have a good Basho as long as he can not catch the Flu. 9 to 11 wins for him.

I have of course determined this via reading thrown bones and looking at the stars. :-P

- Font day will be the nicest day on Youtube, Kimono day in Kokugikan

- One act of behaviour of Hakuho on the dohyo will lead to much discussion

- We will see a perfectly executed Kotobauer

- Ikioi will be the best singer on a post basho party

- Asashosakari will start his 'promotion/ demotion thread' on day 10

- Fay will attend the yusho party

- Akinomaki will tell us all about the silly stuff you can buy at fan shops in Kokugikan

I think Kakuryu will surprise us all this basho.

Hakuho will go 11-4 and have some weird home stretch like some of the previous basho. Harumafuji will go 10-5.

Kisenosato will go 11-4, Goeido will go 9-6. Kotoshogiku will go 10-5, Terunofuji will have an okay basho and go 9-6.

Kotoyuki will manage an 8-7 for his sekiwake debut. Ikioi on the other hand will be lucky to get 5 wins. Kaisei will go 3-12 for debut win, and Okinoumi will finish 6-9.

For the joi maegashira, Myogiryu 5-10, Takarafuji 8-7, Shodai 6-9, Ichinojo 6-9, Aoiyama 5-10, Aminishiki 7-8, Yoshikaze 7-8, Tochinoshin 10-5 and return to sanyaku.

Oosunaarashi will go 11-4 and we'll be seeing him as a Komusubi in Nagoya.

Endo will finish 8-7 with his 8th win coming on day 15.

Sato and Ura will be in a playoff for the Juryo yusho with 12-3 records.

Kotokamatani will go 5-2 and be short of making makushita next basho.

Homarenishiki will break out of his makekoshi slump with a 4-3 record.

I will go over to sumotalk around day 12 and troll them as much as possible...

And I predict that someone will die...
