A rare jungyo location on Oct. 16th: the Osaka (jungyo) basho. The name is Naniwa basho (to avoid confusion) - the link at present only works for me with a proxy (if no Japanese one is available, often a Korean proxy works as well): http://www.naniwabasho2016.jp/
Same hall (whatever name it has presently) as the Haru basho.
The NSK PR department has hardly any recollections of a jungyo at a hon-basho location - in 1964 in Nagoya the danpatsu-shiki of ex-sekiwake Wakamaeda took place in the same hall as the basho: apparently with intai-zumo, which like a jungyo is a hana-zumo event.
A one day tournament included in the Aki jungyo was held in Osaka in the early 90s, Waka-Taka both as ozeki were in the final in 1993 - like usual in his same-heya meets with a loss by Taka.

Are we sure it is Takarafuji (& not the injured Homarefuji who went kyujo during the Aki basho)

We are not. Homarefuji it is.

Terunofuji is also kyujo, was walking out the South Gate with his tsukebito as a human crutch.

And yet he managed to reach the finals of the one-day knockout tournament yesterday?

I think those 5 bouts did him in.

He used Tsuridashi 2 times (including lifting out his Rd1 opponent, Shohozan, from the center of the ring to over the straw bales in two lifts).

And today's bout with Kisenosato was pretty spirited, probably worn out his knees.

Meanwhile Goeido doesn't want a yusho party and rather concentrates on the yokozuna run.

Events are just PR for the Naniwa jungyo basho in Osaka on the 29th and a parade in his hometown Neyagawa-city on Oct. 16th

when the jungyo is in Osaka, in the evening - but now:

in addition a parade at Saitama Sakae High on Oct. 12th, when the jungyo has a break. 400m in an open car with 80 members of the school's marching band club, the course he went to school each day from the nearest train station.

Still  he announced: "I don't want to waste a single day. Without hard work during the even numbered months no results at the main basho." http://www.nikkansports.com/battle/sumo/news/1720393.html

Kisenosato was working Chiyonokuni over today-7 bouts of intensive sumo. Yesterday, jungyo chief Takanohana asked him to take it easy as he was intensive too, so today he let up somewhat.. "You can pull or push, hit me in the face-do your worst.." he said to Chiyonokuni who was seen flying off the dohyo at times. "He has great reflexes so my reflexes were re-kindled by him as well..He is an extremely good rikishi. It was keiko to make us both better. I'd be happy if others came to me as well, " he said.

So he's doing his best to ruin his career between tournaments as well...

This is great. I hope Kise goes to some other people himself...
