Fay Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Some pics from the party. There are always many people at the party but this time the hall was completely full, of course also full of press people. Oyakata and Okamisan were waiting in the entrance hall of the hotel and as we arrived the Okamisan gave me a hug and said "FINALLY" (Laughing...) and the Oyakata was all smiles. Never saw a happier man than Kotoshogiku that day, busy all evening until he had to go for the NHK interview. Very happy for Kotoshogiku, he deserves it. Now go on for the next step! 15
Atenzan Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Nothing cheers me up like a smiling Kotoshogiku. East or West Bumpety Buddha is the best!
Ack! Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Why are they hammering the cask? I assume that it's sake. Maybe it's symbolically cracking it open?
Benevolance Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 First, you hammer cask. Second, cask hammers you! Third, you wake up without pants in Kawasaki on a stolen granny bicycle. 8
kuroimori Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) First, you hammer cask. Second, cask hammers you! Third, you wake up without pants in Kawasaki on a stolen granny bicycle. ...and all that just for the sake of it! Edited January 29, 2016 by kuroimori 1

Third, you wake up without pants in Kawasaki on a stolen granny bicycle. ans all that just for the sake of it! I was helping a Japanese friend with English a few years ago and he had what at first seemed like a very strange question for me, wondering what was the meaning of, "oh, for God's sake!" But on topic, thanks for the pictures! Buddha or actually the Geek often reminds me of Ebisu, especially when holding the sea bream! 1
Jejima Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Does the sign on top of the barrel say 'Queen Emmanuel'?

Benevolance Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Waitaminute...first lawyers successfully sue to get Sokokurai reinstated at full back pay...and now lawyers are miraculously sponsoring Kotoshogiku who won a yusho and we're expected to think its coincidence? I THINK NOT! Fetch me my tinfoil! 2
Kasutera Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Fetch me my tinfoil! Okay, but how is making a baked potato going to prove a conspiracy?! 1
hamcornheinz Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) Video of Kotoshogiku's yusho journey, sums up the whole thing. Edited February 3, 2016 by hamcornheinz 4
