It seems that within the last two days we have moved from an almost boring basho to the most interesting and uncertain one of the last years ...At least 9 rikishi's can win it now ... fantastic !!

Now we can definitely say the yusho is wide open.

Geez, what are they going to do with Miya? Seems like all the ozekis will be scheduled against Shoryu. Maybe they will forgo one of the ozeki-ozeki matches and replace that with Miya.

Real headache for the torikumi makers.

At least they won't scarifice my favourite Kaio vs. Chiyotaikai bout ^^

Somehow I have the feeling that they will replace the the Kaio vs. Musoyama bout if Miyabiyama wins tomorrow (and pair him with Kaio), but I guess that the torikumi experts can make better predicitions ;).

OK, I was wrong. :-)

Remember that the day 14 torikumi is always made before the day 13 matches. So they can't wait to see who wins - they should assume that Miyabiyama wins against Futeno. But yes, it's possible that they will pair Miyabiyama with Kaio, but I think Wakanosato is more likely. I mean, who cares if we miss Wakanosato-Hokutoriki?

Well, Wakanosato-Hokutoriki would be a Day 15 bout, not Day 14, so we might see both. :-) My guess is that Miya will indeed get Sato first, and Tochiazuma on Day 15.

He'd then have faced 4 of the 7 highest ranking rikishi, with Kaio being the only missing one who matters (as you've said, Hokutoriki is a non-factor at this point, and Musoyama is do-beya), which is enough top opponents for him that I could live with a Miyabiyama yusho...

I wonder if Asashoryu would get tripped up again by someone in the next three days(probably not). But if it happens then perhaps Kaio, Tochiazuma or Hakuho might be interesting prospects?

Well duh...so they're going with Azuma first. Either they've got something special planned for Miya on senshuraku (surely they won't scrap the Kaio-Asa bout?), or he gets Wakanosato there after all.

Odd, I figured they would stay true to tradition and have the 5th and 6th-rankers in the third-last senshuraku bout. So much for seeing Hokutoriki in a sanyaku soroibumi.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Miyabiyama get Kotomitsuki.
