Isn't that a lot?? I'd say so, but that's the list the NSK released. Has everyone gone home? Gurowake Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 It's fairly normal for a large chunk of Jonokuchi to be kyujo on Day 1. There might be more this time around, but it's not an unreasonable amount. Some of them will probably come back for one match in the last 3 days. I don't know how popular that was before Ryuden did it for like an entire year, but it certainly seems much more common now than when he did it.
Seijakuzan Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 His everything. Please tell me he's taking advantage of that time off to fix that hole.
littlebutts Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 His everything. Please tell me he's taking advantage of that time off to fix that hole. I really hope so... Watching him on the doyho is nerve-wracking for all the wrong reasons.
inhashi Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Tokitenku's absence is due to a fractured right rib requiring 2 months treatment :(

Yubinhaad Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Kakehashi has renamed himself to Hokutokawa, and starts off the new chapter of his career in the worst possible way, by being kyujo. Hokutokawa suffered a knock to the head during asageiko last month and was hospitalized with a mild cerebral haemorrhage. He was discharged on November 2nd and is now recuperating. West Makushita 38 Masutoo (0-1, fusen day 2) has withdrawn as of day 3. Masutoo is suffering a bout of cellulitis. Goshi has been managing a knee problem for a while and finally had surgery to correct it last month. Seemingly not a major injury or operation, so hopefully he won't be out for long. Takadagawa-beya's Hokuo, who brought Aoiyama's career-start winning streak to an abrupt halt, has retired. Some very small pictures from his danpatsu-shiki below. His stablemate Otakayama (kyujo, but missing from the list in the main post) has apparently retired as well, no confirmation on that one though. Edited November 9, 2015 by Yubinhaad 9

Akinomaki Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) These rikishi have withdrawn as of day 9: East Makushita 36 MIZUTA (1-3) Mizuta could just walk out by himself after an abisetaoshi from Kotokino, holding his left knee after the knee buckled. Takanohana-oyakata came down the hana-michi to accompany him and a transport by wheel-chair was reported afterwards. Edited November 15, 2015 by Akinomaki
