inhashi Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 (edited) Mochi making (mochitsuki) season is keeping the heyas preoccupied. These are several shots of glutinous rice pounding. d_golem Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Just downloaded the 2015 New Years Gaki no Tsukai Batsu Games Prison a few days ago and was shocked (and shortly after my stomach was in stitches form laughing so hard) to see Furiwake-oyakata in a drama skit, wow he's got a natural talent for comedy for sure!
inhashi Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 How they do at Miyagino beya... You may want to adjust the volume ;) Oyakata part I Hakuho Oyakata part II 6

Seijakuzan Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Rice Bowl with Homarenishiki and Shinshunishiki today. Incredible finish to a great game. Best season-ender in a long time. I feel sorry for the people sitting immediately behind Brodi. 2
Kuroyama Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Rice Bowl with Homarenishiki and Shinshunishiki today. Incredible finish to a great game. Best season-ender in a long time. You enjoy American football, then?
Seijakuzan Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I wonder what percentage of sekitori are actually able to get away with a single seat on a train or airplane. Furthermore, are two seats even enough for Gagamaru?
orandashoho Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Not to mention the weight... This summer I took a very heavy (200kg+) person up for a scenic flight in my plane. It was possible only by sliding the seat back to an almost neutral balance point in between the front and the middle seats. It was quite a challenge getting in and out but we managed it without breaking anything, and the plane was close to the maximum safe takeoff weight for that runway with only the two of us on board. My passenger had a great time in the air and afterwards told me that it was a dream come true, it had never been possible to go flying before. All I need to do now is to fly my rikishi-proof plane halfway around the world to Japan... ummm... a nice thought but a much bigger challenge. However, if there is ever going to be an European sumo tour... 2

inhashi Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 An intimidating stare off with Shohozan takes a turn of events. 3
inhashi Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 (edited) I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in oyakata activites, but chose this thread due to the laughable nature of it. Futagoyama posted this several hours ago after Day 12 excitement. I wish I was a fly on the wall listening to their casual thoughts on the basho and it's development. Drinks are on Mary had a little lamb... He made the children laugh and play, laugh and play, laugh and play... ..and everywhere that Mary went the lamb was sure to go. ♪ Oshima snores loudly in a lucid state. ♫ Edited January 21, 2016 by inhashi 10
Jakusotsu Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Jolly good! :-) Just to make sure we're on the same level here: Homasho, Kotooshu, Kyokutenho, Wakanosato, Kimurayama, Miyabiyama, Bushuyama? 3
Ryoshishokunin Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I must say that it's not at all uncommon for people to fall asleep/pass out at drinking events in Japan. There's one of my colleagues that has an unbeaten streak of doing so at every party we have... It's still cute, mind :)
