Achiyama Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 (edited) That's it! 2015 Aki Basho is history! Thank you all for your participation and support! For the 8 Gamers who made the CUT and sent me their picks privately - only Kuroimori and Gaijingai managed to score. Kuroimori's pick of Aminishiki got him 23 points, and Gaijingai's pick Ikioi got him 17 points. Chishafuwaku, Tenshinhan and Gurowake jumped on Chiyootori's bandwagon, but he couldn't beat Sadanofuji, who got his 2nd win this basho. Flohru and the Leader Pandaazuma picked Tokitenku who couldn't get his KK and made the TUG chase very interesting. The last Contender Holleshoryu solely chose Toyonoshima and if he had won then Holleshoryu would have been the TUG Yusho Winner. But you might have seen - Toyo was a toy in Tochinoshin's hands. So, the 2015 TUG YUSHO Winner is PANDAAZUMA (Yusho winner...) , and the JUN YUSHO goes to GAIJINGAI (Second prize...) !!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! (Applauding...) (Zabuton flying...) (Applauding...) kuroimori Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Wow, amazing finish in this great game and lucky me trusting my instinct to go with the very wily and also very heavily bandaged veteran Aminishiki. Just one small question as I don't recall the rules in detail, are there no GBP awarded on Senshuraku? Thanks a lot for running this tricky contest! Greetings & Jammás (with Mythos beer & Ouzo) from Corfu 1
Pandaazuma Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Good to win this game for the first time. It's the kind of game I generally do OK in (like TTT) so I enjoy it. Shame there were no Masters points as I'm in desperate need of them to catch a rampant Smoczayama in the World Championships! ;) Thanks for organizing the game, Achiyama. 1

Greetings & Jammás (with Mythos beer & Ouzo) from Corfu Hi Kuroimori, I am glad you are enjoying the Ouzo in lovely Greece. As to answer your question: GBP are not excluded for Senshuraku. Simply there were no candidates for it as 3 (three) Gamers chose Aminishiki (you, Gernobono and ScreechingOwl) and 2 (two) Gamers chose Ikioi (Reijinguoshan and Gaijingai). Nobody else got points on Senshuraku. Enjoy the Sun and Ouzo! Regards, Achiyama Edited September 27, 2015 by Achiyama
Gurowake Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Thanks for running this, Achiyama. I'm glad I could come back after my disastrous start and manage a good finish. Chiyootori wrecked me in a lot of games this basho; he must not have fully recovered from his injury as the past two basho results he's had are indicative of someone much weaker than he once was.
