I decided to continue for another week.

Good to hear. I was worried another Ikioi loss might turn you into the fasting and the furious...

Well, there's fasting and then there's fasting. When I used to believe in God I used to fast for weeks at a time. It meant I was avoiding certain kinds of foods, not all foods, except on special occasions.

In our book, a fast is totally eating or drinking nothing, or not eating or drinking anything. I'm not religious or anything, but once a year, most of us become pseudo-religious, thinking that if there is some guy in charge, better to be on his good side, sort of.

When you described Amuuru being "at his highest age" it just made me think "You are ALWAYS at your highest age" then I sort of tripped out for a bit.

I actually stayed up and watched F1 and then Sumo but I will watch the 'highlights' again. Thank you again for doing these Kinta! (Showing respect...)

Thank you Kintamayama once again for your excellent coverage of this basho. While I was able to watch most of the days live in Japan, there were a few that I missed, so these videos really helped me keep updated. Thanks again!

NHK news page with a video of Yoshikaze's performance, an interview and sansho this basho. His hometown Saiki-city will give him the city's citizens honor award for it his achievements.

The keiko soken on the 4th last month is gone: NHK on-demand keeps the videos for not more than a month.
