Ancient style Yamato-Izumo dolls are said to have their roots in haniwa figures buried in ancient funeral mounds (kofun).

Standard forms are the rikishi, the dog and the left-above style kimono (for the dead) doll. Kazu Mizuno recreates them.

While being a big fan of the AsaChan ozumo corner, I completely missed the chances to get the free badges (and fans) they distribute each basho at the TBS broadcast booth. Mania fans like MyYetSetLife likely have complete sets
