Gernobono Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 how are goldenpoints affected by this change of rules?
Achiyama Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 how are goldenpoints affected by this change of rules? This is NOT change of rules - this is just ONE TIME incentive. The final sum of points, including the GBoP, will be multiplied by 1.5. Day 10 and beyond will be as usual.
Flohru Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Chiyotairyu, Kaisei (Aoiyama)I would suggest to keep the game simple and avoid any "surprises" like that, usually those are the games that work best.
Shokikogi Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I think, it´s better to keep the game simple as well. But as I´m totally sucking at this basho, it could be the chance for a turnaround ^^ Nonetheless I think all days and points should be counted equal. Day 9 - Chiyotairyu + Aoiyama (Kyokutenho)
Gernobono Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 i think it is strange that a 18 point underdog is worth 27 on day 9 and just 18 on the rest of the basho
Pitinosato Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I also think that the new thing is a little strange. If I would do that, then on a fix selected day, maybe Nakabi or better, Sanshuraku Pitinosato
Achiyama Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 THE VERDICT IS HEARD: 1. NO MORE SURPRISES IN THE FUTURE. 2. I'LL REMOVE THE SECOND PART OF THE SURPRISE FOR TODAY AND COUNT THE POINTS, WHICH ARE ON THE TORIKUMI. THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT, I JUST WANTED TO MAKE YOU GUYS HAPPY WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO EARN MORE POINTS.
Achiyama Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 I also think that the new thing is a little strange. If I would do that, then on a fix selected day, maybe Nakabi or better, Sanshuraku Pitinosato I wrote earlier why I didn't stick with the initially anounced day for the surprise - Nakabi.
Achiyama Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 i think it is strange that a 18 point underdog is worth 27 on day 9 and just 18 on the rest of the basho This confusion is fixed. No multiplication by 1.5

Day 9 - Chiyotairyu + Aoiyama (Kyokutenho) I heard it. No surprises in the future, no 1.5x this basho

Achiyama Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 (edited) After a quite productive Day 7, Day 8 was a low, almost no-scoring, day. Only 2 Gamers, Wamahada and ScreechingOwl, scored points, and both achieved Golden Bonus points. Here is the Standings Table for Day 8. Â Edited August 14, 2017 by Achiyama
Achiyama Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 (edited) Another day of low scoring - a little changes in the top of the Standings. Here are the Standings after Day 8: Wamahada increased a little bit his commanding lead, now 23 points, and is on top with 99 points. ScreechingOwl is now at #2 with 76 points. Gurowake dropped one spot and is at #3 with 63 points. The rest of Top 6 Gamers keep there corresponding places: At #4 are Kuroimori and Randomitsuki with 55 points. At #6 are Andonishiki and Pandaazuma with 53 points. Good Luck to Everybody on Day 9! Let's whether the Daily Double pick will affect the game at all. Â Edited August 14, 2017 by Achiyama
Pitinosato Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Day 9: Chiyotairyu + Kagamio (Tochinoshin, Tokushoryu) Pitinosato
Andonishiki Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 day 9: Takanoiwa, Kyokutenho (Daieisho) agree with others, let's keep this game simplethanks
Pandaazuma Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Gernobono: Your wtf made me lol! Funny how profanity is viewed in different cultures. For the English, swearing at people is quite normal and very often done in a friendly way! Let's not break Achiyama's balls for trying to spice things up a bit. Fair play to the lad, and I greatly respect his efforts to keep the game going. I'll ask around to see if anyone can automate it for him. But I definitely agree that these surprises should be kept to a minimum! My day 9 disaster will be: Chiyotairyu, Kagamio (Takanoiwa) Panda
