Shokikogi Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 The kachi-koshi is like a yusho after the harsh make-koshi last basho and the 0-2 start into this basho. Thanks again for your reminder message at the first day, chisha! Congrats to you, chishafuwaku. I´ve written "don´t worry" in the 21 Haru-Thread and I was right. Good for you ;-) And even congrats to Jakusotsu and his kanto-sho and pitinosato for his shukun-sho! They must be glad to win this prices in the shadow of the dominator of Bout Time Haru 15 :-) I´m looking forward to the next basho!
orandashoho Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Seems I missed the kanto-sho because I won the final day. How stupid of me. :-P

chishafuwaku Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) I thank all participants. Hopefully those who played this time do not give up next basho. Hopefully Tsukiko (our first yusho) and Mmikasazuma can return. I think Ganzohnesushi did not participate this time because he was clearly and rightlyn upset by its Sumo Game situation. I hope Wamahada think again and maybe take a new chance. We can always hope that there are more new participantes because with more, more fun. (Kensho parade...) Everyone are free to say what they think is wrong and can be changed. (Sign of disapproval...) They can also write positive feedback. Positive feedback: much better now that the difference between guessed and actual (rounded) times don't distinguish between positive or negative difference. がんばります !
Pitinosato Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Do I need to beg for Kosho when I can't partizipate this Basho ? I needed, I herby ask for Kosho for Natsu 2015 Pitinosato
Tenshinhan Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Not sure if the game is possible this time as Akinomaki probably can't post the bout length. :-(
Pandaazuma Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 I'd like to post intai from this one as I am already playing too many dailies. Sorry about that.

chishafuwaku Posted January 18, 2017 Author Posted January 18, 2017 1 hour ago, Pitinosato said: Hi chisha, is this really absolutely impossible ? Pitinosato I always use the median and not the mean (or average) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Median https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arithmetic_mean By definition when you have an odd number the median is the central value, so it is impossible that all are different from the median (at least there is one) The advantage is that when using the median and not the average, the extreme values are not important. For example A = 0 B = 0 C = 1 D = 2 E = 2 => Median = 1 and Mean = 5 : 5 = 1 but A = 0 B = 0 C = 1 D = 2 E = 12 => Median = 1 (stays the same) and Mean = 15 : 5 = 3 (changes a lot) In this game we want to divide in two parts the players (winners and losers) That's why I used the median and not the average to do it. The problem arises when there are several players that have the same bet as the median value. It was therefore necessary to have some mechanism that would decide this. And that's what you found chishafuwaku
Pitinosato Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Thank you very much for the Maths-Lesson After I wrote that I had a closer look, and made an Excel with my Data. Now I know what Median is, vs. Average. I understand you need a method to divide the players in all cases. And that's a good one ! Peter
