Welcome back to ronnie and Bugman. We are missing several regulars. Tenshinhan has the most entries in agreement with the others. Tsubame is this basho's most disagreeable player. Most of the matches have a good spread in A/B choices. It should be an interesting basho. Let's get this thing rolling. Edited March 8, 2015 by Asojima 2
Jejima Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Apologies, I thought I had entered a few days ago....
Tenshinhan Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 X's for the bouts 9, 12 and 19? I thought Rikishi of the same rank usually meet on Day 1...

Asojima Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 I'm not sure if I officially made the deadline, but they haven't posted the torikumi yet so I should be okay. The deadline for all entries was at 05:00AM JST. See you again in May.
Profomisakari Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 @Screeching owl, I'm sorry. In fact, in 2008 we published this deadline and it is now in Exil's deadline table. Perhaps we could discuss. But because Jejima accepted the deadline, before you wrote your pick, it should indeed not be possible. And nobody knows, what Jejima had picked. ;-) (Laughing...) I hope, we see us next basho. :-( (Weeping...) Profo
Jejima Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 And nobody knows, what Jejima had picked. ;-) (Laughing...) I knew (and you do too) ;-) For the record, I think you should accept ScreechingOwl's entry, as he did beat the official torikumi, no real extra work is needed to include him, and at this time of slumping numbers in sumo gamers, it is best to accommodate as many as possible.... But, that is just my opinion....
Asojima Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 The match selections are published about 2 weeks before the deadline. Forty-eight hours before the deadline, I send a reminder Email to all of our regular participants who have not yet responded. Almost every basho, we get one or two late entries. We have always turned down those late entries. The one exception was one time for Jejima who always submits the same selections (all A's). Even for that, we caught some flak from other players. Our policy is NO EXCEPTIONS.
Peeter Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 So pls accept this time SO, we are two ( read 2 ) now.

ScreechingOwl Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I apologize for causing this commotion. I don't typically make my sumo game selections until the weekend the basho starts so I can digest any late information, and as a result I've missed this deadline before. I was actually checking for the torikumi at Sumo Reference and then here, and when I didn't see it up I remembered 21 and thought I might still be able to enter the game. If I had read page two I wouldn't have even posted, but instead I went to page one, copied the matches in the reply box, made my choices and posted. I don't consider my situation to be the same as Jejima's, as everyone knows what who he is going to select and I might not even be able to replicate my own choices some basho. I missed the deadline and that fault is solely my own, so no worries and good luck to my more timely fellow gamers.
Achiyama Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 (edited) I wonder why the deadline for 21 is more than 48 h before the start of the Makuuchi bouts on Shonichi? What justifies such an early deadline? Edited March 7, 2015 by Achiyama
Asojima Posted March 7, 2015 Author Posted March 7, 2015 I wonder why the deadline for 21 is more than 48 h before the start of the Makuuchi bouts on Shonichi? What justifies such an early deadline? For this basho, five of the nine X selections were invalidated when the matches for the first 2 days were announced.
Profomisakari Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Five bout on day 1, 4 of 9 X picks are false. 2 bouts went to the underdogs. Now we have 4 leaders with each 4 points. Shokikogi Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Don´t worry chisha! It´s so close, that you have a great chance to assign the red lamp to another player. You are not alone and I´m pleased to have you as my neighbour in the bottom ranks. Your look is sweetly as ever ;-)
Tenshinhan Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Chishafuwaku holds now the red lamp. (Consoling...)
