Kintamayama Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 Day 11- finally something I can stand behind.. 20
kuroimori Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Ballet lessons ... LOL! ...and Okinoumi is taking a head dive into an imaginary Swan lake! ;-)
kuroimori Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Day 10: Wow. Interesting comment after the Arawashi - Shohozan match..."a foreigner, a foreign person was there (in the way), I didn't see (the throw)." Major BOOOO! Heard it as well although it is really tough to understand the old mumbling geezers over at the NSK stream - if they say anything relevant at all. Most of the time they just seem to watch or utter such things as "oooooh!" or "aaaaaah!" which is quite annoying already. It was such almost a relief to listen to the professional guys from NHK today! 1
Vikanohara Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Tokitenku has become my man to watch. Please let him stick around for 5 more years after all this. :-)

Jakusotsu Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Meh... heard it too but why would anyone care? With approximately 100ish people buying this stream, and about 10% of them actually understanding Japanese, you're right.

I might consider it if they offer a "light version" (without the poor commentators) for half of the current price...
Asashosakari Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Heard it as well although it is really tough to understand the old mumbling geezers over at the NSK stream - if they say anything relevant at all. Most of the time they just seem to watch or utter such things as "oooooh!" or "aaaaaah!" which is quite annoying already. It was such almost a relief to listen to the professional guys from NHK today! That guy on the NSK stream today who's going "ahahaha!" and "ahihihi!" every 30 seconds at basically anything said by his co-host just might be the most annoying sports commentator I've ever listened to.
orandashoho Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Am I wrong or did Hakuho sidestep for a moment? Didn't work though, but in my view that kind of thing is unnecessary and would have tainted the yusho if it had worked.
kuroimori Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I had to chuckle when NHK showed their classic "Breaking News" ticker of Hakuho's all-time yusho record on top of the screen just less than a minute after he won it - which was shown LIVE on the very same channel... 1
Fukurou Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Already?! Wow, you are good! :-) Thank you again for doing these 1
Vikanohara Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I already wondered why the video was lasting a few minutes longer than usual this basho. :-P 1
Kintamayama Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 Final day, please donate yadda yadda: 22
Hainag Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Final day, please donate yadda yadda: Well, thanks a huge lot for your work that I really appreciate! Have made a donation. 1
Naganoyama Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Thanks for all the effort, especially on the days when the stream was giving trouble and everything was twice as hard. Much appreciated! 1
Shikona Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Many thanks for your efforts, providing the coverage and your unique commentary.
dingo Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) Thank you for doing this each time! Your contribution is for me invaluable, and I made a small donation to show my deep appreciation. Btw, in the last video it was cool to hear Mainoumi comment after Ichinojo's bout that if he was still active, he wouldn't mind having a go at Ichinojo himself.. Edited January 25, 2015 by dingo 1
orandashoho Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Words can't say how much I appreciate the effort you make bringing sumo to the deprived. Maybe a small donation can.
