I will try to see his future... I want to see him a Sekiwake at the end of 2015. He will get 4 kachikoshi and will have 12-3 as his best result...

He will be Sekiwake W for Hatsu Basho 2016.

Osunaarashi will spend 2015 in search of his mojo in mid-maegashira. He will split the year in 3 KK/3 MK as he battles minor injuries and a lack of a cohesive strategy. He will get a 10-5 in one of his trips below the M7e where he will start the next year.

M6-10 (let's M8E)

3 KKs

9-6.

I feel he will suffer due to his chronic injuries. It's a real shame. Hope he can overcome that and fulfill his potential somehow. I wish he would move more into yotsu-zumo - less injuries with that style and he is strong enough to be successful on the belt...just needs to work on technique.

My perpetually malfunctioning crystal ball says he'll be Komusubi West for Hatsu 2015. Best result will be 11-4, and he'll have 4 KK.

Basically, I expect him to do well in the next couple of tournaments while he rises from the bottom back to the jo'i, then alternate small MK and small KK there in the summer before making a push for sanyaku to end the year. Hopefully he'll stay reasonably healthy and manage it .

M1-M5 (exact rank: M3w)

3 KK

10-5

Boody will have a year similar to his 2014 outing.

I am afraid he will try to stick to his wild unorthodox brawling style which will cause more unpleasant debates and also will not decrease the risk to get injured easily.

I really wish him to dig in deeper into what Ozumo is about and become a more versatile rikishi, otherwise sanyaku will likely be out of reach for him.

Unfortunately I think injuries will be his undoing and he won't be able to capitalise on his talent ending up at around M15 or lower...

M13E

2KK

Best 9-6

Alas, I foresee injury if he doesn't work on making himself less predictable.

I can't see him in sanyaku with just his present bag of tricks.

Osunaarashi's record over the year was as follows....

Jan - M13E 8-7

Mar - M11E 11-4

May - M3W 4-4-7

Jul - M8W 11-4

Sep - M2E 8-7

Nov - M1W 5-9-1

It is not clear what his rank will be on the January 2016 banzuke. He could either be in the M1-M5 bracket, or the M6-M10 bracket. (I will need to update this poll, when the new banzuke is published.) 11 of us guessed the M1-M5 bracket, and 11 of us guessed the M6-M10 bracket.

He had 4 KKs over the year. 15 of us guessed this correctly.

His best result over the year was 11-4, which he managed twice.

Reading the comments above alone, I am going to award the Yusho to Jejima (Big fish...) !
