The Makuuchi videos are in the database. Try to get Juryo in too and maybe some of my favourites.

Edit: Juryo and some Makushita bouts are uploaded too.

There they are: hand in hand with kyushu basho come you guys' uploads! Regular as clockwork! So regular that I almost start taking them for granted, so in order not to do that, I want to thank you again for all the work you put into uploading and sharing!

Ichinojo didn't look so good during the tachi-ai of his bout. Very slow. It really is his achilles heel, or would this be the work of his supposed injuries?
Anyway, I hope the tide turns for him. Looking forward to day 2!

I agree to two things.

Firstly, thank you for your hard work. I've been wondering if you're going to be able to upload the videos as usual, and of course, you never fail despite whatever problems you've encountered.

Secondly, Takarafuji's neck is as nice as everyone else even though you kind of need to squint to find it :-P .

Thanks for the Juryo videos, Fay. I wish I had the time to do the coverage I did in Aki, but life progresses. Just thought I'd let you know that Tosayutaka-Gagamaru is marked as private.

If anyone has the Makushita Abiko-Onosho bout from day 2 I would be tremendously grateful.

I'd like to upload all bouts but I just don't have the time. But if someone has a special wish I try my best.

Who was Hakuho's stare down to as he took the Kensho -- as if someone in the crowd had words that he heard. I saw a flashback of Asashoryu's character.

It was a good day. Thanks for posting.

Think he was looking at Tochiōzan because he was surprised by his effort.

Okay, so where are the videos that have been uploaded to the database? I went to to the torikumi page but couldn't find them there. I am one of the lucky ones who can watch in Japan, but it is faster to see them one by one with these great uploads.

If you go straight to the torikumi page during a basho, you always see the next day's matches (which haven't happened yet) since the Makuuchi torikumi comes out before the previous day's bouts happen. Go back to the Day you're looking for and they should be linked near the kimarite. Or you can go to the banzuke and click on a rikishi's record to get a list of their bouts this basho which should have a link on the far right if available.

Thanks for trying to help. However, I have no links near the kimarite for days 1,2, or 3 and no video links in the individual bout lists to the far right (or anywhere else). Hmmm..

ps In previous times I remember seeing video links, but not this time.

Just in case people think I'm crazy; here is what I see. I tried it on my iMac 10.6 with two different browsers and on someone else's Mac running Mavericks. Admittedly I can see makuuchi with Mr. Golden Ball's great youtube link, but would also like to see juryo and some makushita.

This is how it should look like:

No idea, why it's nor working for you... Maybe you could try deleting your browser cache...

It's possible that you need to force-refresh the page to see the links that were added after you first viewed the page. That would be ctrl-f5 for people using windows, but macs I dunno.

I opened up the source and see there's "<a class="various fancybox.iframe" href="http://www.youtube.com/embed/" followed by the random string of characters that go to the specific video, finished with "?autoplay=1"><img src="img/movie.png" alt="View bout" />" that's generating the image and the link on my page, and it exists for each bout that has a video link. If that's not in your source (I have no idea how to view it on whatever browser you're using), then it's probably an issue with outdated cache that would be fixed by forced-refresh. If that element is present in the source and it's not showing up, then it's probably your browser not understanding how to display the link.

I've tried out a Japanese Proxy. Had the same result as in my screenshot. Seeing the links and possible to watch the videos. Mmm...

First I tried proxy software, but got iffy results. Than an online proxy server gave me what I wanted. I'd show you a screenshot, but it would look exactly like the one you linked above. :)

thanks for the input everyone. :)
