Ok, I love a good puzzle so I will continue working at this one.

1st idea: Asameshimae pointed out that 'izumi' has not been rejected as an element. Mitoizumi was not correct though ...

Mitoizumi's 1st shikona was Koizumi - it was (and still is) his real family name ... would he confer that to Brodi? Not sure, but it has elements of tradition to it - the shikona the Oyakata used while developing his skills.

Other -izumi shikona not currently in use are Yamaizumi (best rank komusubi) and Oizumi (best rank M4).

2nd idea: Looking at the Nishikido kabu history, there are 4 shikona to consider (Mitoizumi and Nishikido having been rejected already).

Of these, Azumafuji - a former Yokozuna with 6 Makuuchi yusho - looks the most impressive.

Futamiyama was M1 with a Juryo yusho and a couple of kinboshi.

Fujinoshin as M1 but no yusho or anything remarkable other than career longevity.

Otayama was Maegashira 20 (there was such a rank?) and had a Juryo and a Makushita yusho.

Sorry to hog all the guesses but here they are in order of preference.

Fujinoshin

Otayama

With 'yama', there could be some reference to the 1st foreign Maegashira, Takamiyama, in the use of this element.

This is so random question and possible variable to consider that is practically unanswerable. However, since we have the Big Sand Storm, I would like to see a Blizzard - Fubuki 吹雪 - as his opponent, a shout to the SubZero - Scorpion rivalry. Or a wolf with a shikona eding with a ~ro or a ookami like West Wolf - Seiro.

Something along the lines Setsuarashi or Kitaarashi would indeed be cool, but that's too much Canada again and Mitoizumi probably has enough ideas of his own and doesn't need to copy Otake-beya. Maybe Mitosetsu?

Looking the videoclips, Brodi seems to be promising for professional sumo.

I wish him a successful start and hopefully he follows the steps of the only other Canadian sumo wrestler, who came from British Columbia as well, the late Kototenzan, aka Kototenta who started unbelievably well 21:0 - 3 basho, 3 Zensho Yusho, but couldn't adapt to the Japanese style of life and quit undefeated.

I hope Brodi will do well and will surpass Kototenta's achievements. Good luck young man!

Oshirokita and Itachi must be trilled with the debut of their countryman, representing their province British Columbia.

And at the end my guess for his shikona (a long stretch) Takayuki Hakurojishi (a blend of Hakuo and Kurojishi, the name is like Takayuki Kurojishi).

When his hair was longer, the long part looked blond, but the remaining hair doesn't look particularly fair. He may have hair that's something like mine, in that when I was very young I had blond hair in the summer and brown hair in the winter. It's apparently due to sunlight breaking apart the melanin in the hair that can't be replaced since it's dead (whereas skin produces more in response, making it darker). In order for it to be noticeable you obviously need somewhat fair hair to start with, and so is somewhat of a novelty to the Japanese, but it's not really blond. Given that he had at least a year of growth before, it may have been noticeably fair when it was grown and had been exposed to the sun a long time, but everything new grows in brown. I disagreed initially with someone else saying that Baruto had fairer hair, but I'm more inclined to believe it now that it's cut short.

At the new recruits health inspection today spoke Japanese. "Otsukaresan degozaimasu. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu," he said. His favorite rikishi are Kotooushuu, Endou, Hakuhou and Baruto, in that order. "Sumo is very beautiful. It has a lot of prestige. I also respect its tradition, " he said in English that was translated to Japanese and I translated it back to English. "Watashi, gambaru!" he said in Japanese, which needs no translation. He has cut his hair short.
