Next in line is Kotooshu. Same thrill, Amanogawa's work.

Kotooshu must have watched Bulgaria's misery in EC as a big soccer fan.

Once again a rikishi who gives these bizarre year thresholds concerning

marriage heh.

1. Your good points from last basho?

"I think I was able to move forward powerfully

for the first part of the tournament"

2. Anything you regret about last basho?

"I was pretty tired towards the end of the basho, so I

couldn't do my own sumo. It was my first to do sumo

for full 15 days, so I just didn't know how to pick up

my pace for that long term."

3. How did you spend days after Natsu Basho?

"I went back to Bulgaria from May 25th. It was about 25

degrees, as warm as Japan. I went to the ocean too but it

felt a bit too cold out there."

4. What was the first sport you played?

"Basketball, volleyball, soccer... I don't know any more

which was the first :).. But the most popular one in Bulgaria

is soccer."

5.What were you like when you were a child?

"I played around outside - all day. I studied just okay

until I went to high school. I studied hard after that."

5. When was your first time to see sumo? How did you like it?

"About 10. I watched it on TV and thought it interesting.

I even practiced sumo a little after the wrestling-keiko...I took

out a string and make a big circle on the wrestling mat

and did sumo there"

6. What brought you to sumo?

"I went to a sport-oriented college and was practicing wrestling there.

Some of the wrestlers made a 'dohyo' with a string on the mat and played

around with pseudo-sumo. It looked like fun, so I joined them.

Just as I said ( in #5 ), I'd practice a little of sumo

after the wrestling training - maybe 2 or 3 times a week."

7. Do you have any rikishi you liked before joining sumo?

"I didn't know any rikishi then"

8. Do you have any favorite sports besides sumo?

"I like all kinds of sports"

9. What do you think of Tokitenku?

"Oh he's powerful when he gets uwate. Last basho I was very

determined to stop his zensho, so I was very excited when

I really did"

10. Roho?

"He's strong. And he's even more so when he has mawashi grip."

11. Toyonoshima?

"I think he's amazingly good although he's so small. And I'm

sure he'll be even stronger"

12. Hagiwara?

"He's good with oshi, and also with hidari-zashi. What a 17 he is..."

13.Kotoshogiku?

"I do keiko with him everyday, and so I can feel how he's

becoming stronger each day. I think he's a type of rikishi

who'd perform a lot stronger on the dohyo than in keiko-ba."

14. Ama?

"He's kind of thin but very strong. He has tsuppari, and good

nage too when he gets mawashi-grip"

15. What do you do when you have some spare time?

"I watch movies, eat out and so."

16. What kind of movies do you favor? Or TV programs?

"Any kind. I'm planning to see 'Troy' sometime soon.

As for TV, I only watch sports shows and news."

17.What is the most delightful ( tanoshii )memory?

"Too many..... :) I can't pick up one"

18. What is the happiest ( ureshii ) event in your life?

"When I won the first championship in a Bulgarian wrestling

tournament"

19. What's the age you assume you're getting married?

"Well it's not happening in another 4 years at least. Only

after I become 25 years old."

20. Could you tell me what type of woman you'd care for?

Do you have any female TV personality you like?

"Woman's type? It's a secret. :)

I have an actor I like yes ( not "TV person" though ),

it's Sylvester Stallone"

21. Do you have anything you treasure?

"Yes. Pictures of my family I brought with me when I came

to Japan. "

22. Are you particularly concerned about anything?

"Not really"

23. Do you think you're a keiko-enthusiast?

"I think I do keiko very hard"

24. What do you think is your problem to solve ( in sumo )?

"I want to have more power to thrusting and pushing forward"

25. What kind of sumo are you aiming to achieve?

"Constantly moving forward - type of sumo"

26. Who's your #1 rival?

"Hagiwara. But he wouldn't mention my name"

27. Are you receiving greater number of fan-letters?

"Well I'd get one once in a while. My tsukebito would read them

for me"

I think he means "I consider Hagiwara my biggest rival, but he wouldn't consider me as his biggest rival." He was correct, Hagiwara said he didn't have any particular rival.

Ah, thanks. (Clapping wildly...) The "Sylvester Stallone" answer still seems a bit strange to me, though. (Applauding...)

and here i thought i was the only one with the corrupt mind .... (Holiday feeling...)
