Kintamayama Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 Takanohana-beya's new Nagoya lodgings will not be ready on time, so they say. The beya acquired a new place to stay while in Nagoya, but the renovation work is going very slowly. The dohyo is ready, but the lodgings themselves are not. Young rikishi are sweating alongside the construction workers in a 30 degrees centigrade atmosphere in order to try and get it ready. Work started in May, and it seems someone screwed up big time.
Otokonoyama Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 Construction that goes on forever is not new in the Land of Concrete! :-O
Stephanoshima Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 Young rikishi are sweating alongside the construction workers in a 30 degrees centigrade atmosphere in order to try and get it ready. Sounds like Mr. Miyagi's training method... :-O
Takanobaka Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 Still, work seems to be coming along much faster than in Athens for the Olympics (*gives Aderechelsea a funny look, because it's obviously all his fault, being that he's Greek and all...*) (Clapping wildly...)
aderechelsea Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 believe me........this Olympics made my life in Athens a living hell all this time and i sure hope we never got them ....... i am certain we are not the right country to host such an event. (the worst part about it is that i will be working in the Olympic Village restaurant during the games and i am sure this will make me hate the whole thing even more....)
