Bugman Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Great video Kinta, you are equally at ease with mischievous humour or calm and educational style, brilliant. :-)
Akinomaki Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I hoped for a comment on Ōsunaarashi's first makuuchi matta. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pl1A6Qa7vKY NHK news7 (hidden) video: Hakuho, Ōsunaarashi + message, Endo http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20131110/k10015947581000.html

He will have more mattas and i promise will comment on them. 3
Morty Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I too like Kotoyuki, have done since I first saw him. Hopefully, given his young age, there is still a lot of improvement in him.
Akinomaki Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 NHK news7 (hidden) day 2 video: Harumafuji, Endo http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20131111/k10015975071000.html Endo thinks he needs 2, 3 days more to get his full sumo sense back. http://www.jiji.com/jc/c?g=spo_30&k=2013111100835
Mukonoso Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Urutora's match looked a bit silly. If I didn't know better he looked like he actually was posing and fighting as Ultraman vs kaiju. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HJFXyzcmus#t=58
Akinomaki Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 NHK (hidden) news video: Kotoshogiku kyujo http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20131112/k10015981651000.html NHK news7 (hidden) day 3 video: Goeido (+interview), Ōsunaarashi (+interview), Endo http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20131112/k10013003471000.html Ōsunaarashi got 3 kensho for his first makuuchi win. He wants more (of both). http://sankei.jp.msn.com/sports/news/131112/mrt13111219570005-n1.htm
Kintamayama Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Day 3: (Tomorrow will be very late..) 13
Bugman Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) I'm trying to think of another sport where i see people injured so regularly, injury really is an ever present shadow over Sumo isn't it, i don't know if i'm just feeling despondent or if it's because i'm now close to entering my third year of watching and i'm noticing it more, i don't know. Thank you very much for the video Kinta. Edited November 12, 2013 by Bugman
Benevolance Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I'm trying to think of another sport where i see people injured so regularly Hockey. Man-games lost is a regularly-reported team stat. Endo really should have withdrawn. He hasn't looked very good. I really don't know whether he'll piece together 4 wins before aggravating his injury further. 1

ALAKTORN Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 (edited) Does anybody have Koike’s and Musashikuni’s day 4 bouts on vid? Edited November 13, 2013 by ALAKTORN
Akinomaki Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Asashosakari has filled in the videos from the remaining day 4 bouts on sumo reference - those videos seem to have a better quality than the rest. Musashikuni http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Voh-TN5ReBM&feature=player_embedded#t=1425 Koike http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=0bIEjvl-CbM#t=840
Akinomaki Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 NHK news7 (hidden) day 5 video: Harumafuji (Paul), Masunoyama, Kisenosatohttp://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20131114/k10013067041000.html(one of many videos from) Paul on NHK Masses of articles with pics of course today - many under society, entertainment etc., but also on the sumo news.He let Hakuho wait after the dohyo-iri in front of the shitaku-beya with his tsuna on, after 5~10 min. Hakuho gave up on the planned photo shoot - favorite song of course: Let it behttp://www.daily.co.jp/newsflash/ring/2013/11/14/0006497583.shtml 1

Bugman Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Was funny when Endo got behind Kaisei, i thought it was over but when he tackled him from behind there was no movement at all from kaisei, he just stood rooted to the spot regardless of direction, thank you you Kinta. 1
dingo Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Was funny when Endo got behind Kaisei, i thought it was over but when he tackled him from behind there was no movement at all from kaisei, he just stood rooted to the spot regardless of direction, thank you you Kinta. It also stuck out to me that Endo seemed to generate almost no pushing power at all from his legs. Must be the injury...
Akinomaki Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 NHK news7 (hidden) day 6 video: Kisenosato, Shotenro http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20131115/k10013099121000.html
Benevolance Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 This new Kisenosato is impressing me. Kinta forgot to include the first part of chiyotairyu's interview. It actual translation went something like, " There is no way to reach komusubi from my position on the banzuke right? Then I'm amazed how well I'm doing in spite of the eye problems." 1
Newfan Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Cant believe the top 3 from the Sadogatake stable are now all injured! Hope its not too serious for Kotoyuki! Thanks for the vids Kinta.
