Yubinhaad Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Preparations for the autumn jungyo, which gets underway next weekend in Kumagaya, Saitama prefecture. So nobody is late, Kimura Shoji prepares copies of the bus schedules. So nobody gets lost, Kimura Takanosuke prepares the signs which will be posted outside the various hotels which will be used during the jungyo. (For keiko bouts etc.) I can't mount the dohyo yet, can't be helped. I'll cure the injury without doing anything unreasonable." Mukonoso Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Just curious... the autograph signing guys all have signs over their shoulder with their names. Does that mean that even to Japanese, most sumo wrestlers look alike?
kuroimori Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Just curious... the autograph signing guys all have signs over their shoulder with their names. Does that mean that even to Japanese, most sumo wrestlers look alike? Could also be intended for the rikishi in order to be in the right place (at the right time)
Akinomaki Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Endo did shiko stamping and push-ups etc. below the dohyo. Hakuho: “Don't do something unreasonable. Cure it quickly!” The line of fans to get his sign grew to more than 30, about 300 got one: “If it promotes sumo's popularity … I'll do what I can right now.” Onaruto-oyakata encouraged him but in the end had to put a stop to it, Endo did it for about 30 minutes. Shinchosha's culture magazine for women around 30 “ROLa” interviewed him afterwards (editor in chief is a fan of him, sold Nov. 30th): “I appreciate any accounts, but a women's magazine is unexpected.” http://www.hokkoku.co.jp/subpage/H20131013101.htm http://www.sanspo.com/sports/news/20131013/sum13101305020000-n1.html http://www.sponichi.co.jp/sports/news/2013/10/13/kiji/K20131013006800440.html http://www.daily.co.jp/sumo/2013/10/13/0006416690.shtml http://hochi.yomiuri.co.jp/sports/sumo/news/20131012-OHT1T00217.htm http://www.nikkansports.com/sports/sumo/news/p-sp-tp3-20131013-1203502.html 2
