hum.... What was the first match of Euro 2004? Oh, Portugal 1 - Greece 2, of course! And What about the final? Yes, Portugal -Greece too! Portugal should win, but when I say that a team will win, they lose, so Greece will be champion...

As I saw Greece/France and Greece/Czech Republic, I can say that Greeks are not "the strongest", but they really WANT to play, and that's what make them win.

Unfortunately, in my town, there are a lot of people who are from Portugal, so I can't go out... You're lucky, aderechelsea, congratulations ! This is the most sensational outcome of an international football tournament than I can remember. Yay for the underdogs!

And which was the only team that had beaten Greece? Russia, of course.

Seriously, that was just luck. For the most part, Aderechelsea not voting for Greece is what prompted me to vote that way.

Anyway, way to go! It'll be even bigger if they can do the same in the Olympics, but I'd say this, along with home turf, makes them the favorites there now!

as you can imagine my foot cannot go deeper in my mouth today.I am glad the team proved me very wrong .....

This is the biggest sport result for Greece.Forget the Olympic gold medals, the European Championship in Basketball or whatever.... this is the BIGGEST.You should just see the number of people that were in the streets yesterday.I believe today we will have similar pictures in the welcoming party for the champions (i still cannot believe that i refer to the Greek national team as "champions" )

as for the Olympics Taka-san you have to remember that the team will be completely different.Younger players, different coach and very big shoes to fill ...... (i hope they prove mw wrong once more)

The Olympic football tournament is absolutely meaningless. I'm not exaggerating in any way if I contend that the Euro championship means at least 20 times more than an Olympic gold medal in football.

I think, they should remove men's football from Olympic competition along with men's baseball to get room for other sports where the world's top atheletes in those sports will participate. Or instead of removing other sports.

When I switched channels to football, it was 81st minute and the score simply blew me off. I love when this happens, regardless of the sport. So, even tho' I don't like or understand football, I'm delighted (Showing respect...)
