Hopefully these images will work.

Me in the nosebleed section. Still not bad seats. The camera makes it look further away than it really was.

I think this was Tochinoshin. I also got pics of Aran and Ikioi but they blurred like crazy so no one would believe me.

It was fun going. Would have been better if my grandson hadn't started getting restless or I was alone. I might go back on the 24th to do some rikishi spotting on the street and watch the yusho parade.

Headed back into Namba today and managed to get into the basho for free and see all of the awards ceremony and stood on a pedestrian overpass to watch Hakuho pass by in his yusho parade. Pics to come later.

Those are coming too. I'll try to squeeze them in between hanging with my wife's family and going hiking in the mountains. The day before yesterday was an 8 hour hike to the top of Mt Rokko and on to the hot springs in Arima (had to take the bus home I was so tired).

Sumo souvenirs include a banzuke, Kotooshu's tegata and the sumo directory (and of course the ticket stub).

I'll bet this guy could beat Hakuho easily. Gotta Photoshop a tsuna on him.

I might have had a pic with Takanohana but as soon as my grandson and I got inside the door they took our tickets, gave us English pamphlets and quickly showed us where our seats were. Didn't have time to go look for him and was afraid of losing seats to drunk gaijin group were in the same section as us and spreading out.

Great photo's, looks like you had an awesome time, did you by any chance see any of the plush Sumo dolls at the Sumo gift shop? I saw some in a photo that Yubinhaad posted that made me really want one. :)

I might have but didn't pay attention since the gift shop tables were so crowded with stuff. I was tempted to get a banzuke "noren" (the curtains that hang in front of restaurant or bar doorway) for my den. Maybe next time.
