Baruto, oriented towards the necessary double digit wins required for his oozeki return, turn at 5 wins 3 losses transitioning to the 2nd week: "Before the basho I was anxious whether I could win. Little by little it's getting better."

把瑠都　大関復帰に必要な２桁白星に向け、５勝３敗でターン。「場所前は勝てるか不安だった。少しずつ良くなっている」

Kotoshougiku, shifting and winning against Toyonoshima: "I was starting to forget the sumou of the former days, but a tsukebito made me remember.", grateful for the advice.

琴奨菊　豊ノ島に動き勝つ。「昔の相撲を忘れかけていたけど、付け人が思い出させてくれた」と助言に感謝。

Kisenosato, after two consecutive losses, 4 consecutive wins. Looking at the second half (of the basho): "I think it's not bad. It's win or loss every day."

稀勢の里　２連敗後は４連勝。後半戦をにらんで「悪くないと思う。一日一日が勝負」。

Hakuhou, on yokozuna Taiho's death overnight, "Losing a national treasure is a sad event, but inheriting that (his final wishes) I want to do steady, well put together [sumo]. but I firmly wish that his dying wishes come true (?)

白鵬　元横綱大鵬さんの死去から一夜明け、「国の宝を失ったことは悲しいことだが、それ（遺志）を受け継いでしっかりやりたい」。

Some thoughts on the ? marks. Not claiming to be 100% correct! :)

５勝３敗でターン。

"at 5 wins 3 loses transitions to the 2nd week". The turn (ターン）is the transition from week 1 to week 2 of the tournament.

一日一日が勝負

I read this as "Every day is a match" or "Every day I'm in the running", i.e. I am not getting my ass handed to me, but I'm obviously not overpowering the competition. I could be wrong though, with something this short it's hard to catch the nuance.

「国の宝を失ったことは悲しいことだが、それ（遺志）を受け継いでしっかりやりたい」。

"Losing a national treasure is a sad event, but inheriting that (his final wishes) I want to do steady, well put together [sumo]."
