Kuroyama Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Or as they squeal here "Kawai-I!" Oh God, please no. I get enough of that in my online game. And if I hear an out-of-context "desu", I think my eczema will break out again...
Pocari Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Hahahaha, I never thought Sumo could be so adorable!
Kintamayama Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 It happened in Makuuchi last basho I think-can't remember the details but it happened- Tochinoshin was involved I think..
Bugman Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Wow great crowd today and exciting Sumo, thank you Kinta :-)
Asabiru Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 You could really hear the headbutts in the Homasho bout. Ouch!
Kintamayama Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 Day 9 is uploading EXTREMELY slowly and it's a larger than usual file as well. so patience - worth it I hope.. 11
Tsubame Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 ...and it was! I much enjoy the extra time :)
Kintamayama Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 "Hakuho is soul leader" :-D I hoped someone would notice that it wasn't a typo..
Treblemaker Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 And after me saying that Miyabiyama wouldn't attempt a henka at his age/weight/gimpiness, he goes and trys one... go figure. Looks like Miya's tsuppari couldn't shove a toaster off a kitchen table. Reminds me of the aging Chiyotaikai in His Feebleness.... There's so much sand being kicked up on the dohyo, it looks like they're dancing on a beach somewhere. Great action. I like the new Aran 2.0. This is the sort of thing I was hoping for when I say a while ago that he was Ozeki material. maybe not yet, but if this keeps up, who knows? Tokitenkuu's sumo is just fugly. If sumo style was rated like coffee, he'd be the stuff in the bottom of the urn long after the wedding's over. Am enjoying HF's efforts. Brings back memories of the dear old Ama. Today, he took Toyo bowling.... Am also pretty sure that Kise did Osh a favour today. The Black Eyed one made no real attempt to grab belt or anything. OBSC back in business? Just saying... I hope all rikishis watched Zuma's turfing of Gagamattress. The Round One has only one direction. All you have to do is quickly get out of his way. When he lines up at the tachi-ai, his stomach isn't that far from the clay... Great work by Tochinoshin, but why is he wearing water wings? Okinoumi broke a middle toe? That takes skill... Aminishiki give Homasho the Bum's Rush? Straight back and out? After Home Show fought like a boat anchor yesterday? The Elevator is back in business. Shohousan puts up with Miyo's nonsense for a while, says "*^&%$ of this #@^%!". Tosses Miyo into third row. Loved it. Still trying to figure out how Masunoyama beat Geeku... Latter had good grip on Masu's bad wing, but momentum is what it is... Of all his losses, The Geeku might really have to explain this one, wounded opponent and all. Masu's showing very large balls for someone with small lungs, bad arm. Only thing missing is one foot in a bucket. Was sorry that Goeido slipped. That was one match I was really looking forward to. And thanks for the videos and comments. Today's presentation was truly a Font of Knowledge. 4
Kuroyama Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Am also pretty sure that Kise did Osh a favour today. The Black Eyed one made no real attempt to grab belt or anything. OBSC back in business? Just saying... I have to confess that thought crossed my mind as well, but I was too much of a coward to say so. Okinoumi broke a middle toe? That takes skill... "Middle toe" is kind of vague, but if you have feet like mine it's probably pretty easy. My second toe is longer than my big toe, and my third (middle?) toe is much longer than my fourth and fifth. With a foot like that, both are exposed, so to speak.
krindel Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Masunoyama lost by kotenage today? I didn't get to see the bouts live, but please tell me that it wasn't on his bad arm, that might kill him :-(
Kintamayama Posted November 21, 2012 Author Posted November 21, 2012 (edited) Day 11-gotta run, hopefully online soon.. Edited November 21, 2012 by Kintamayama 11
Morty Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 I come home from work every day and this is the first thing I put on - thanks very muchly and it was a great day today with some brilliant strategic bouts
Koorifuu Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Kotooshu actually caring about what he's doing in a bout. That's a refreshing sight, I thought those were only fond memories.
yorikiried by fate Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Super extra long treat of Kimura Konosuke! Made. My. Day.
Treblemaker Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Wow.. Some really cool and interesting matches. HF wishes he had hat one back. And one of most interesting Hakuho matches ever! Have never seen Hak in that position before, with Osh in total control. Good for The Tall Man. Gone is Origami. Interesting to note that if HF hadn't slipped, there'd be a tie on top. Going to be an interesting last few days. Thanks Moti. Such an excellent redactor hasn't been seen since Ezra cut'n'pasted the Bible together.
Koorifuu Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Takanoyama is very entertaining whenever he doesn't use his henka - tottari combination for 3-second long matches. Kickin' and flappin' around the dohyo, that was weird even by Tokitenku's standards. And definitely yokozunadom has taken Harumafuji's special quality away.
