Kaiowaka Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 11 November, 2012 to 25 November, 2012 There is no torikumi for this day yet. The maegashira's game run for the basho or not ?
Doitsuyama Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 11 November, 2012 to 25 November, 2012 There is no torikumi for this day yet. The maegashira's game run for the basho or not ? Hmm, mo one told me before, and I'm not plaing this game myself. I looked into this, and it seems like the old grabber ran a procedure to initialize the game for each basho (or day? Not sure, will have to check tomorrow). Anyway, it seems like playing is possible now.
Profomisakari Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 (edited) Four days are played. It's time to say some words about the game. At first: Many thanks to Doitsuyama, who made possible to play the game this basho, even if a bit late. This late start could be the reason for less participants as other bashos last time.. If we look at some of the sites, we see some tables with - like it seems - very confuse contents. But if we look deeper, these errors all go back to one and only one error. This false tables are: - the Daily bout results (column "selections") at the Daily result site, - the Selection Statistics for and against at the Basho results site - and the same Selection Statistics for and against at the entry site. All these tables contain the results of Aki Basho instead of the correct results of this KyuShu basho and are of course false. I don't know, why Doitsuyama this (only one) error could correct until this time. But where is here the problem? All real results at the daily results site, the basho results site and too the three Sansho results sites are in all details correct. The program especially for all bout winners counts correct the votes against and calculates all points correct. There is no reason to criticize the results, all are correct. Perhaps Doitsuyama too can correct these small errors, but much more important seems for me to be, him to say a very big THANKS, ALEX!!! for making the game playable. And let's think about his trouble with all the other sumogames.com based games. So I don'rt want to say much words about the game results. I see the performances of the players much smaller as Doitsus performance. But my intension: Have a look at the result tables! They are correct and let hope to have an interesting further progress. Only one aspect of the current results: All is open, no decisions are fallen. Profomisakari Edited November 14, 2012 by Profomisakari

Profomisakari Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) 10 days we have played the game. All problems of the game are solved by Doitsuyama - and nowbody speaks about. How is the situation? Three players dominate the game last days: Leonishiki, Ruziklao and Oskanohana, some more players have to this time good chances to do a great jump to the top. Here you can find the results and under "Daily results" you can during the bouts find all informations to calculate the actual game results. Let's see, how the game goes on! TheMightyTim Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 This is me playing Maegashira game: Good fun though! :D
Profomisakari Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) The game is over. It started very late - problematic circumstances. But Doitsuyama found a way to make this game like too other games playable and 34 players participated. And unfortunately the most of the other players didn't read the rules. There they can find: "Kosho Each player is allowed to request kosho status if he or she will be absent for a basho. In order to obtain kosho status, you must use the registration page to request kosho between the announcement of the banzuke for the basho and the last day of the basho. If you do not request kosho, you will not receive it automatically." Now we have with the last result with Kofujis automatic system too a new banzuke (if you read "Kyshu Banzuke" - let not disconcert! It's the Hatsu Banzuke 2013). And here have these two players, who hat demanded kosho until the final day, holded their palce. All others - included the last Yokozuna Pitinosato - fell with a 0 points result many places back. This makes the fine difference between Kosho and Kyujo. It's a pity, but I can't see during the basho, who has demanded Kosho and who not. Now you've a good chance in some basho's came back to better places. But now to the results! A grandious game played especially our both spanish players (Yusho winner...) Leonishiki (Yusho winner...) as a grandious winner and (Second prize...)Oskanohana (Third prize...) only 4 points behind him. A great Congratulations to both winners!! (Applauding...) (Applauding...) (Applauding...) (Showing respect...) (Showing respect...) (Showing respect...) (Clapping wildly...) (Clapping wildly...) (Clapping wildly...) The third place went to (Third prize...)Heikotoriki (Third prize...) before some more German players. But they all had no chance against the both Spaniards. Ruziklao, who 8 of the first 9 days leaded, had at the end of the bashos no more enough luck and fell back to the seventh place. Interesting is the low result in the Shukun Sho ranking with 34 point as best daily result at all. This shows, that in the most important bouts of the several days mostly won the favorites. The winner of the Shukun Sho is Packamawashi before Ganzohnesushi and Ruziklao, typically with the same points and too the same first tiebreaker for all three. Only the second tiebreaker went with 27:26:25 to the winner. The Kanto Sho decision was for the 1.-6. place in the special ranking on day 11 to 15. The Sho went to the Yusho winner Leonishiki. Winner of the Gino Sho is Oskanohana before Leonishiki and Pedinishiki. (On the banzuke...) Let's come to the new banzuke! (On the banzuke...) Best in the ranking - we call him "Yokozuna" is now Oskanohana. The Ozeki ranges go to Heikotoriki and the Yusho winner Leonishiki. For the further places see the game site! Many thanks once more to Doitsuyama - it cannot often enough be said! Let's see us next basho - playing the same game together - let's hope under better circumstances. Pitinosato Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Hi Profo, it looks like it doesn't work again !?? Ex-Yokozuna Pitinosato - brought down by the a Server (Yawning...) (like Asashoryu and the NSK ?? :-D )
Profomisakari Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Two days we now could play the game. Only 34 participants, but if we see the very very late start time, I say, this ist a good number. My suggestion to all, who couldn't give up their picks: Please request Kosho on the register site! There are too until this day some mistakes in the game, but the entry automatic and the results calculation is in all points correct. The mistakes are in the statistics part. Three tables are false and include results from the last basho: The pic statistic per bout at the daily results site (but the picks and points of the players in the lower table are right), the pic statistics "for" and "against" at the basho results site and the pics "for" and "against" at the entry site. They all show results of tnhe Kyu Shu Basho 12. Who wants to know how many picks voted for a special maegashira, must count for himself in the players pick list of the daily results. But the game goes correct. The results of day 1 nd 2 can be seen in maegashira .sumogames.de. But there is one result, I should say here: The leader after two days is Doitsuyama. Isn't it a very symbolic result? Let's see, how it will go on! Profomisakari
Achiyama Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) The bonus points in the table "Players' Daily Results" are right, but the numbers in the column "Selections" in the table "Daily Bout Results" are totally wrong (and this is not statistics I think). This is very misleading, espacially, when you'd like to check the picks in advance - before the bouts have even happened. Edited January 14, 2013 by Achiyama

As I wrote: All statistical informations in this table and in the both "picks for" and "picks against" are from KyuShu Basho 2012 . But our game works. And I think, we should let Doitsuyama at first repair the other sumogames, where are biger problems. (see the bug discussion thread!) He can't more than work! Doitsuyama Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Sorry about the delay but I think it's working at last. Just post here or in the other thread if there are more errors.
Profomisakari Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Now are the errors killed. Especially now we can during the bouts compare our and the results of important competitors. And we know: The "for" and "against" tables help to find better picks ( :'-( ) Thanks, Alexander. Profo
Profomisakari Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Now the game goes only with a little small unimportant blemish (I don't believe that anybody find out it. Wo found it, should write it in this thread! (In a state of confusion...) ), we can turn us to the game results. Like a bombshell is Norizo's today's result of 63 points, with them he (as I think) has made sure the Shukun Sho and did a big jump from (yesterday) place 17 to three with all chances for the Yusho. Leader since today is Wamahada, who long time waited on good places behind the top position, before Packamawashi (he was two days ago the leader). Yesterdays leader Leonishiki today had a Zero number, but he , his countryman Oskanohana, Jejima, Tainosen and the former long time leader Mariohana have too good chances for the Yusho. Favorite for the Kanto Sho is Mariohana, 4 players are to this day without a zero point daily result, among them the leader Wamahada. The finish will be very interesting. Profomisakari
Profomisakari Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 (edited) The game is over. But at last the automatic stopped (I didn't ask the Master why) after the calculation of the daily results and wrotw no basho results. So I simulate the automat and give you the results in a hand made table. The severaln columns are: 1. Place, 2. Player, 3. Points before Sensshuraku, 4. Daily points at Senshuraku, 5. Basho result, 6. Percent result for Banzuke calculation. This is the table: .1 Norizo . . . . . 239 47 286 100,00 .2 Packamawashi . . 242 13 255 .89,16 .3 Wamahada . . . . 255 .0 255 .89,16 .4 Profomisakari. . 206 47 253 .88,46 .5 tainosen . . . . 235 13 248 .86,71 .6 Oskanohana . . . 231 13 244 .85,31 .7 Jejima . . . . . 227 13 240 .83,92 .8 Leonishiki . . . 235 .4 239 .83,57 .9 Mariohana. . . . 217 13 230 .80,42 10 Andonishiki. . . 214 13 227 .79,37 11 Pitinosato . . . 191 36 227 .79,37 12 Anjoboshi. . . . 217 .0 217 .75,87 13 Ruziklao . . . . 199 13 212 .74,13 14 Jakusotsu. . . . 211 .0 211 .73,78 15 Konosato . . . . 207 .0 207 .72,38 16 Kuroimori. . . . 187 13 200 .69,93 17 Pedinishki . . . 164 36 200 .69,93 18 Holleshoryu. . . 182 .2 184 .64,34 19 Doitsuyama . . . 160 23 183 .63,99 20 Gaijingai. . . . 170 13 183 .63,99 21 mischashimaru. . 168 13 181 .63,29 22 Ganzohnesushi. . 175 .0 175 .61,19 23 Fujisan. . . . . 170 .0 170 .59,44 24 sekihiryu. . . . 163 .0 163 .56,99 25 Kaiowaka . . . . 136 17 153 .53,50 26 Achiyama . . . . 147 .3 150 .52,45 27 Takanorappa. . . 146 .2 148 .51,75 28 Rikishimiezi . . 134 13 147 .51,40 29 Mmikasazuma. . . 112 23 135 .47,20 30 Kintamayama. . . 119 .3 122 .42,66 31 Kyodaitimu . . . 103 .0 103 .36,01 32 Shibatayama. . . .79 .2 .81 .28,32 33 GONZABUROW . . . .73 .2 .75 .26,22 34 Ilovetochinoshin .69 .1 .70 .24,48 35 Fatakiyama . . . .34 .0 .34 .11,89 36 Asanomeshi . . . ..0 .0 . 0 . 0,00 I think, Doitsuyama will us help next time and correct this error too.. As he every time helps. As we see, had yesterdays leader Wamahada lost his lead with a zero pick today. The great winner is Norizo, who made a big jump with only two correct picks, but 47 daily points an came to excellent 286 points. Congratulation to Japan! The same daily result 47 had Profomisakari (as me), wo jumped from place 13 to 4. Profo Edited January 27, 2013 by Profomisakari
Asameshimae Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 (edited) The maegashira game looks off to me. When I try to select a day, the first choice on the list to click on is Day 7?? March 11th?? And even when I try to click on one these mangled dates, it doesn't register. Anyone? It would be great to solve this before it's too late. Edited May 10, 2013 by Asanomeshi
Profomisakari Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 (edited) Hi, Maegashira gamers! The Natsu Basho is over, the Maegashira game went (without me, I was kosho because of absence for some days.) almost correct. There were some delays for the entry, especially for day 1. Because of them we had once more only 34 participants.I say, this is a good partizipation. But as ever solved Doitsuyama all problems in a last minute service. Some days were too some delays in the results posting. The total results after day 12 are missed to this day. But this has no influence to the basho result.Only one delay of the entry possibility on day 14 has an influence to the results. Sorry for that. But I know, Doitsu-san gave as ever his best and I think we should once more say a great "thank you!" to him. Some players, among them with Kuroimori and Ruziklao the two leaders (to this time) couldn't pick. But the hardest pursuer (to this time) Wamahada did solidaryly a zero pick this day and both holded their top position without a given vote. But last day they lost their place in the sun and fell back to place 2 (Ruziklao) and 3 (Kuroimori). The winner is now Jaskusotsu, who said to me in the German forum chat, he played the MG not to win, but only to give the bonus points for the competitors. Sorry, Klaus, but you won!!The results are to find on the game site. Let me here only name the Sansho winners! The Shukun sho goes to the Yusho winner Jakusotsu only with the second tiebreaker before Norizo, the Kanto Sho to Wamahada and the Gino Sho won the former Yokozuna Mariohana.Congratulations to all! A skurril situation arised with the new calculated and just in time with the final basho results posted new banzuke. The rules say "Player rankings are set by order of PV with the exception of kosho players"And the kosho rule says: "In case of kosho, the new PV will be the same as the old PV and your place in the banzuke remains the same. Because of this, there is a possibility that you will be ranked higher or lower on the banzuke than your PV would indicate."Such a case arised here. The highest PV (Performance Value) is calculated for Norizo. But the name of the Yokozuna is Profomisakari, my name because of this kosho rule.As we made the rules i was against this part, but the two other rule makers were for it.Now i can't change the rule, but must stay on the Yokozuna place. Sorry for that, Norizo!I would say: "I'm the nominal Yokozuna and Norizo is the Yokozuna of the hearts." And next basho has Norizo the better basis PV for the calculation of the next banzuke rankings.I hope for him to become then too the nominal Yokozuna.Let's play together in July the next Maegashira game!I hope to see your all names in the participants tableProfomisakari Edited May 28, 2013 by Profomisakari
Kintamayama Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I would like to retire from Maegashira game, this time for good-it is an excellent game, but I am not an excellent player any more..Thank you for running this cool game and good luck to all who continue to play this fine game!!
