No, by all means tell when the site is down. Or just send me a pm. It's usually the best way for me to know about that and do something. Contrary than ybf seems to think I usually am doing something to get it up again.

In an era of hi-tech, I think glitches are inevitable. But I have to say you do an excellent job with the site.

At this time sumodb.sumogames.de is giving 404 errors. Thinking the entire domain might be down, I checked rotosumo.sumogames.de but that is working. To me (who doesn't know how things are set up at that domain), that seems to mean that whatever's going on with Sumo Reference is specific to Sumo Reference.

Why would anyone need access to the database in the middle of February?

It was an accident. I use a browser homescreen with tiles linking to favourite sites, and I just misclicked.

I access it on a daily basis instead of reading books or going to a movie. Much more interesting.

Site down at the minute. Yes, especially since the demise of Sumo World, I have found it a very useful reference guide.

I am curious - why has Sumo Reference been so flakey in recent months? Up, down, sometimes hourly. And yes, sometimes it has been stable, for days at a time.

This time it's been down at least 12 hours. From Swami's post, it may be more like 18 hours (or longer). Someone forget to turn it back on after recent maintenance, or is it on a flakey server or what?

(Several hours ago it was coming back with a 404 error. Now I just get timed out when trying to load the page)

Of course it does. That's my stupid luck at work. Something breaks, I report it or comment about it, and it's working again within minutes. Makes me look like an f-ing idiot.

Dumb question, but has anyone checked with Doitsuyama to see if he is aware that it's down? Is it on a separate server, domain or whatever from the games because I am having no problem, fortunately, accessing them?

That was kind of the point of my posting in this thread... In any case, it's back up now so it was only about an hour (went down ~5 minutes before I posted).

I couldn't send my Hoshitori entry via the Hoshitorui web site... So I decide to send my entry via Email doitsuyama [at] ozumo.de (edit It's Ok now ;) )

And I receive a Hoshitori Confirmation Entry via Email 20 minutes later... So I think Its Doitsutama himself who send this Email... I think "He is aware that It's down" ;)

But for the Bench... It's seems difficult to send my entry too... I send It to Jejima via Email too ;) (edit It's OK for the Bench too ;) )
