Gernobono Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 the sumogames-server seems to be offline.... i know it is time until kyushu basho, but it is offline a week minimum...
Jakusotsu Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Works fine here... The "new" server does, but the "old" one hosting games like Bench Sumo is down.
Pitinosato Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 and what about GTB ? also on the same server ? is it possible to make an Email-Entry for GTB ? Thanks, Pitinosato
Fukurou Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Any update on sumogames.com? Is alternative access, such as the one for GTB, being considered for games such as Chain, Hoshitori, ISP, Rotosumo, the Seki-games, etc?
Yubinhaad Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) Any update on sumogames.com? Is alternative access, such as the one for GTB, being considered for games such as Chain, Hoshitori, ISP, Rotosumo, the Seki-games, etc? Hoshitori can be found here. I don't know about the rest though. Edited November 4, 2012 by Yubinhaad
Pandaazuma Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 If worst comes to worst, Chain, ISP, TTT and even Quad could be done on dedicated forum threads, I suppose, but Odd and Toto would be difficult to play...too much manual calculation required like Bench. Still plenty of time to go before kick-off so let's see what happens.
Gernobono Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 i fact i do not know whats the excitement about this if there are no to only some games this basho, maybe the focus is back on ozumo instead of the games i would not care if there are only a few forum-based games to play.... gives the involved some time to rethink the options for a restart playing it in forums-thread is NO option for me.....not all users like to play on english-speaking forums....
Pandaazuma Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Excitement? What excitement are you referring to? You started this thread in the first place, and I was merely adding my thoughts and suggestions as to possible alternatives if the server is still down on Sunday. I personally don't think Doitsuyama and the other people who run the games should give up their precious free time to get everything operational...if some of the games are down, so be it. However, as a keen gamer, the more games available, the better, of course. We played TTT originally in a forum thread and it was fine. If you don't like playing on English-speaking forums, we could put a thread up over on the German and French ones, too. Let's not get too...excited, eh!
Doitsuyama Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 I finally found some time to work on the newest server, and have installed the websites from the "old new" server as well as devised a new system to get the real banzuke for the sumogames games (as the grabber was on the "old old" server which died). Application (and entries where applicable) should be possible now for: Turn The Tide ISP RotoSumo Chaingang Makushita Game Maegashira Game Juryo Game I'm still looking into Golynohana's three games, and thinking about quick solutions for Bench Sumo and Sekitoto. The new Bench Sumo banzuke is in the database now, but there still are a few banzuke missing. 7
Kintamayama Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Doitsuyama is the grandmaster of everything... As for the new urls, just download my sumo toolbar already-all new URLs are already built in and the rest will be updated as they become available. Check my signature. Doesn't always work with IE, but great with FF.
yorikiried by fate Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Tried your toolbar. Not my glass of vodka. What I need is a bartool.
Doitsuyama Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Seki-Quad, Seki-Oracle and OddSumo also should be ready, all accessible from Golynohana's start page.
Andonishiki Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Doitsuyama, pls send me your postal adress, I wanna send a big christmas present to you ! Your efforts to keep sumogames alive and running is simply amazing and should be rewarded !!! 1
Fukurou Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I finally found some time to work on the newest server, and have installed the websites from the "old new" server as well as devised a new system to get the real banzuke for the sumogames games (as the grabber was on the "old old" server which died). Thanks for using your apparently copius spare time to deal with this. :) Is sumogames.de permanently replacing sumogames.com, or is it just for now while the issues are being worked out with sumogames.com?
Kintamayama Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Tried your toolbar. Not my glass of vodka. What I need is a bartool. OK, but still the easiest way to keep track of the new URLS for now. Did you see the "naked women gone mad" button?
Doitsuyama Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Is sumogames.de permanently replacing sumogames.com, or is it just for now while the issues are being worked out with sumogames.com? The server gets changed permanently, but right now we can't transfer the old domains.
yorikiried by fate Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Bug report: I just made a very simply banzuke query. When I modified it by including "Highest rank" in the "Rikishi details" section, I received All other options of the "Rikishi details" section seem to work.
Kintamayama Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 It's too embarrassing to tell... "Where can I get a good sumo toolbar?" 1
Randomitsuki Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 It's certainly not as tool as Moti's coolbar, but you can also access all accessible game sites from the Superbanzuke starting page
Fukurou Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 It's certainly not as tool as Moti's coolbar, but you can also access all accessible game sites from the Superbanzuke starting page Now we just need SekiToto to make the transfer (and I'm sure that's coming soon too) FWIW - I never got the confirmation email when I made my picks for RotoSumo. (but I did log back in later and confirmed my picks were there)
Doitsuyama Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 It's too embarrassing to tell... Don't be ashamed... you can tell me the link in PM because I need it to debug.
yorikiried by fate Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 We are stardust, so I can also say. It was the Makuuchi yusho # search. Sorted by rikishi, at least two matching results. No other stuff AFAIR. I would have reproduced it, but the .de address seems to be down (as well as the ozumo address that worked a couple of days ago).
